Ive tried %programdata% and eraseing all my bnet files , I got this way thru a fault of mine i got annoyed cause bnet woldent update and tought i could uninstall benet re install it to uninstall my games. Instead its stuck i cant install bnet ive tried and tried and tried ive looked at guides now im looking at wipeing my system upgradeing to windows 11 just hopeing that it will install properly instead of either " battle net is updating stuck att 99% or the installer getting stuck at 88% while doing 2 % pushes back and forth. i bought my first 3 month sub in 10 years and then this happens…
It is actually quite likely that the original update/patch-failure and the problem re-installing the app may have the same root cause here, seeing both of these processes are functionally almost identical.
In terms of potential root causes the “usual suspects” are overly aggressive security/firewall programs, an unstable internet connection, or the WMI-service in Windows being disabled. Giving the listed steps under the links a try would be a good start - if things are still shaky afterwards, we’d need to take a look at the MSINFO log for the computer to find out what else may be getting in the way.
