My biggest problem with WOTLK (PvP realms)

I tried to lvl up an alliance character on Gehennas, but its not a good idea, AH is completly dead, so it is impossible to get normal low lvl gear or gold for anyhting…
I tried to transfer my horde paladin from Golemagg to FIremaw, but it is bugged xDD mail bug, i wrote a ticket the AI answer was fast xD but ofc no solution, it was yesterday but still bugging. I wrote a repost, to do something with it now or refound it, so it was refounded xDD…
This AI GM system maybe fast but it ****s.
I came back to wotlk after more than half a year, i wanted to buy a simple service like a realm transfer and ofc its bugging… And the support cannot fix it just sendig some AI generated s**t answers, and after a day the solution was to refound it.
I think the key word for AI in the sentence was ‘‘refound’’.
Is this standard still worth the monthly fee? I dont think so…

People do care. They will play any realm with the highest population - because the game is dead and there is no cross realm RDF etc. So they’re forced to mega servers to play the game. Instances where you’re happy to profess Anub hc for 6 weeks with your fellow dads on dead realms isn’t how the majority like to play.

It is interesting that the US pvp servers still have one that can hold a 50/50% population, grobbulus, there is one good Russian too. Are those players are smarter than us or Blizzard care more about the US forums and the simular topics there?
Russians were always pvp fanatics i have no question about ther realms, they simply dont want to ruin their own fun.

What do you call dead? 10-12k+ population on a server is more than enough… Now we have servers with 20k. If they were 50/50%, everyone would still find plenty of teams for themselves whiteout problems.

What people call dead is just subjective, true enough. Nobody will ever agree. But the way we’ve seen people react (and my personal opinion) is that anything under the level of Gehennas is dead. Below 30k feels like the options are severely limited - that’s why the mega servers were created. The game felt dead.

Why would the options be limited below 30k? Do you even know what you are talking about? Thanks to the 30k people 7-8 layers are needed, because the server would be unplayable… whiteout layers a 10-12k pop server is also as full as Dalaran at peak time, everywhere in the world.
Servers weren’t nearly as big back in the day, when there were a lot more, and yet the world was full with players because there were no layers.

Truth is, a server with 10k players, (5k hordes and 5k alliances) and WHITEOUT LAYERS, there would be much more life in the world than at present with this 30k 1 faction.

Give me a server without layers with 5k/5k players, and I will play there forever.

The amount of groups at a convenient time for unsocial people, late workers, WFM enjoyers, slackers and generally just always having something to do anytime of the day.

Cross realm dungeon finder would solve everything. Theoretically there are 228k players in EU realms in total… with so many people with a cross realm dungeon finder it would call in less then a minute.
But of course ppl don’t need a dungeon finder, because WOTLK classic is good when it is as uncomfortable as it can be.

And dont want to tell me that people who don’t care about anything other than logging they would be bothered by the dungeon finder.
The fact that dungeon finder is not included in classic is just another arbitrary stupid decision by blizzard.
Who constantly refer to the “classic experience”, but it doesn’t bother them that the concept of “PVP server” doesn’t exist…

Ahh, what an apt description of “the best expansion ever made”. This is one of the reasons why I disliked WLK, and is one of the reasons why I am actively trying to avoid spending time in Dalaran in WLK classic. But the game is designed like that, and apparently people love it.

Back in 2008-2010 on my server, Ravenholdt, there was some world pvp happening. But it increased tenfold in Cataclysm, simply because the Tol Barad Peninsula and the Molten Front didn’t allow flying. It’s hard to encounter players who spend 95% of their time in the air.

I rather liked world pvp. Without it, there’s no real threat in the world. It’s also the game mode that breathed life into server communities. I had World PvP guilds who would post bounties on players on their website, and these players would become local celebrities on the server. There was no reward except for the community and the fun.

I think most players today don’t understand this at all.

Unfortunately no, for them only the log matters and who has the bigger ****.
In the arena, they only play with the rank1 setups, on battlegrounds if the enemy taking the lead, they are immediately leaving…
They flexing in ther shiny PVP gears in dalaran, because on todays pvp realms that is the only thing they can do xD…

That is one of the reasons, but there were others as well. In TBC Horde started migrating off Firemaw because somebody decided that consumables were too expensive on Firemaw. No, seriously.
Everyone else running off was a panic reaction, because people were afraid that Firemaw Horde is dying after seeing the population shift.

What is going on here xD i’w made an alliance DK on Golemagg, on paper golemagg is a 20k pop realm… but i couldnt find a single lvling ppl in helfire… Maybe it is true everyone afking in dala.

A panic reaction too no doubt about it. Definitely a factor.

Try now as JJ was just released and there’s bound to be leveling peeps all around. But if JJ is not up good luck finding any levelers

What do you expect tho? Do you think its fun playing setups that have 0% chance to win?

Plot twist is you actually need to do much more of pve in order to play pvp than pvp.

Honestly i dont understand what are you trying to achieve even. World pvp is trash and unfun. If world pvp was Fun people would participate. If you have different definition of Fun than 99% of people playing this game then its your fault. Dont blame others.

Tell me one simple thing then, ppl who share your thoughts, why cant play on pve realms then?
You can say anything, but it’s not normal to encounter no enemies in the world on PVP realms. So what does PVP server even mean? Because at the moment there is no such thing anymore, thanks to the many PVE monkeys.
I don’t care what you think is good or bad, but simply the essence of a PVP server should be that PVP is available everywhere, it used to be like that, those whose little souls couldn’t stand being camped sometimes could easily go to the pve servers.
But currently the pvp server concept is messed up thanks to a bunch of pve idiots and blizzard ofc as they do nothing for the cause.

Well it has been that way for 10 years thats why the concept got changes on retail.

I saw latest changes for the next season, and honestly it looks great. Dungeon finder, accound bound mounts achievements, everything i wished for. Except world pvp xDDD
