World of Warcraft is often crashing with Out of memory errors for me.
Two days ago, after one such crash, when I logged back into a Pandaria Remix character, my Scrap button was replaced by “Immediate Extermination”, apparently an ability of the Eye of the Jailer.
I thought it was just a funny tooltip mismatch and used it anyway. It turned my character model into the Eye of the Jailer and it has been stuck this way ever since.
The model mismatch appears to be server side because other players can see it!
I have tried:
clicking off the buff (immediately)
using my hearthstone
polymorphing (into Ghost Wolf since it’s a shaman)
making the character die
quitting WoW and repairing my game client
entering an instance
queueing for a solo instance (scenario)
queueing for a group instance (also scenario)
using the barber
None of that helped
Whenever the model changes, such as turning into Ghost Wolf or mounting (or being a ghost while dead), the correct form is applied, but as soon as I revert to my basic character form, instead of an iron Dwarf it turns into the Eye of the Jailer
As far as I can tell the glitch is only graphical and my game stats are normal but I cannot play like this, please help
