My comment was deleted!

was classic leveling timegated because it took longer then a day?

My comment was not negative towards anyone, or towards Blizzard.
I gave constructive criticism of the anniversary event.
It didn’t need to be “cleaned up”. This sounds so wrong, can’t you listen to yourself, Puny?

Do you hear yourself?

Because I’ve clearly stated that I do not know the comment in question and can only answer in general as to why comments are removed without punishment, and as to why they generally are not censorship. There are lots of negative comments without swearing or other rule breaking that are never removed. Including things I’ve complained about myself or expressed dislike about.

I’m not going to repeat myself again.

Bril you’re usually a chilled out guy on here, there really isn’t an issue here. All that happened was that a mod removed your comment for whatever reason they saw fit. A mod doesn’t really have to give you a reason unless it’s a flagged post and you get a vacation.

They could have removed the entire thread or they could have banned you. They gave you a huge break, drop it and move on.

Personally, I’ve had at least 5 posts removed in the last few weeks and I would far more rather that happened than yet another ban added to my already swollen ban tally.

If it bothers you that much I would appeal via the ticket system. There should be a forum section.

Was there anything else removed on the thread? Also seems that yours was moved cause they removed the post you replied or something like that. Ive seen that happent before aswell, Ive also noticed that mods hand bans less now so that is positive. If the old way of handing out bans would still be there the forum would be quite quiet place when half the posters that are left would be on forced vacations. I think your comment were likely moved cause it were reply to someone thats post got removed perhaps?

The post I replied to was removed, yes. HOWEVER. In the past I’ve replied to comments that got removed and my comment stayed, which means that the Moderator decided to remove mine as well.

Ps. The comment I was replying to was inflamatory, mine wasn’t!

Ok so they removed the reply aswell. That why you was not notficated. He removed it cause he see it reply to the post that he remove. You did nothing wrong and the mod did nothing wrong. It happens, he could left it if it was comment that could also been seen as something said in general but he probably looked that its reply to post he removes and remove the replies aswell. You could post the comment in the thread now in general if you wish to still state it there i guess

Maybe they have a policy that anything that could be seen as to potentially be damaging to a future release or product , in terms of loss of sales due to negative comments are insta removed. Dunno.

Saying that if that were true I sense there may be a sharp reduction in posts on this forum, or not, probably not. Just kidding.

In response to your comment which I did read I sense the word ‘grindy’ is subjective in the eyes of Warcraft players. In the interview regarding the Anniversary Event the creators stated they had decided to make the event a patch and not the normal give-away item. This infers that as a patch it would pretty much perform as would any patch. By nature that would suggest working for rewards over a period of time. Just your standard WOW normal pattern of activity.

Consequently you were right to comment this event varies from the past celebrations, but this cannot be a critism as they clearly stated that that was the intention cus its a patch. I mean, seriously folk would really complain if a patch turned out to be a few timewalking credits in the post and free hat and a bucket of sweets.

I do believe I still have most of my anniversary rewards in the bank unused from previous years, normally just pretty useless to me anyway. But hey I just like being logged on on the day, reward enough for being part of the greatest game ever made.

It were already concluded what happent. The mystery is solved. :male_detective:

Censorship doesnt exist on a forum where someone makes the rules. They can do, post, remove, ban and silence whoever they want, when they want, and theres nothing anyone can do against that.

Private platform yeah, same with any cafe or restaurant or private property really atleast according the law in my country, the people being moved out usually begin screaming that they have no right but the places owner actually do.

On this case neither mod or op did nothing wrong, mod was doing his job and the op did nothing wrong, it was reply removed to someone elses post that was removed for some reason x. They remove replys to those sometime too.

At the end of the day the OP didnt post the full facts until much later… Unironically, I wouldnt be surprised if this thread got removed.

Now that you mention it mine’s gone too. How curious.
