My comment was deleted!

Ok, now I’m upset!
I left a comment on this thread Anniversary event too grindy
It was a reply to someone who disagreed with the OP (the second post in the thread). Yesterday it had over 20 likes. There was nothing offensive about the comment! No personal attacks. No foul language. No agreession of any kind. So why was it deleted?
Can a moderator please look into this? I checked my e-mail and there’s no message from Blizzard about me breaking a forum rule.

I will end by reiterating what I wrote in my deleted comment:
The 20th anniversary should be a celebration, not a FOMO grind. All timegating should be removed from the anniversary event.

Down with the mods! I hope their next poo is a hedgehog!

Also, this:

And if you don’t like this then I’m being held against my will and was made to post this

Seriously though. Don’t we get an email when a post gets reported and removed (so it can be appealed)? This feels different, like a MOD saw the post, didn’t like it, and purged it.

you should get a private message yes.

That’s the thing, I didn’t.

Sometimes comments are removed without penalty when threads are cleaned up.

And without reason.

This is concerning.

I got banned from an unrelated game in the forums because I said ‘Any halloween event will probably be hidden behind a pay wall’ Thats the way a lot of these mods are going these days. Its the wrong direction, because when you limit people from expressing their opinions that part of the community ends up dying.

I’m not sure why it’s worrying. I’ve had comments removed when they’ve been cleaning up. It’s not caused me to be punished so I don’t really mind. I’m not being censored, they just clear up the discussion.

But why was that specific message removed and not others? You say cleaning up, but cleaning up what? If nothing offensive is being said then it doesn’t need any action taken against it. To me it sounds like they removed it for bringing ‘negativity’ to the event. And not being allowed to express that is concerning.

People on this forum are something else, you didn’t know? Half of them are blizz workers too

Except that comments expressing negativity are still there.

I can’t comment on a specific comment, I didn’t see, that has been removed. I’m just expressing in general that removal of comments isn’t unusual. I do not know the context of removal. Other than a system message saying something is removed we don’t get any reason. When there is no action there is nothing to appeal.

Only if a post that is flagged is removed and you are given a temporary silence. If a mod deems a post breaks the rules (such as they are) but doesn’t warrant a suspension they will just remove it.

Look at it as a mod being generous.

Not really, its like a fireman leaning over after licking his fingers and putting the match out, rather than waiting to have him and his crew dealing with a burning building.

Just be glad they have apparently got rid of the “mod” who would just ban you for a month if you said “boo” to another poster.

Puny, cmon, it’s censorship…

Flag the OP for lols

daily lockouts and dailies resetting each day are not timegating. it not being infinitely grindable doesn’t mean its time gated The more people misuse terms the less they mean. Timegating means its physically impossible to do the content before a certain point. this is just a grind that takes time. completely different

Another perfect example of my point.

this is correct

It is impossible to get the tier set Transmogs before a certain point. You just proved my point. It’s timegated.
