I still remeber my first years of WoW. This strangle feeling of playing online on a computer, interacting with people from other countries. I remember my first character,my first raid as an out of combat resser.
I remember having to ask dad if i could hook up the pc to the internet with the landline and how it changed to this fancy router dad locked in his bedroom.
I remember saving my pocket money so I could buy scratch cards for gametime and the dread of knowing I lacked cash for next month.
I remember the friends I got along the way, some I still play with and consider my closest friends, even though we never did meet physically.
I have so many good and bad memories with WoW.
But my time is up. Non of my friends are here and I no longer posses the time, energy or skillset to do what I want with WoW.
I wish you all the best as I,long over due resign from my WoW career. Im keeping my gold incase my son, once he grows up wants to try WoW too.
If nostalgia is what you want, come join us on Classic. If not, then I fare thee well my fellow burning red avatar friend. Best of luck on your new adventures.
if crapstic was so great crapstic toons would not bother coming to retail to tell how great crapstic is most of us played it back when it was current it was not anything special
Actually the troll comments are made because of jealousy. Someone managed to escape the Matrix whilst we stuck in, lets flame
Take care and enjoy life ! That original feeling we all had with WoW will never come back. Keep the memories and move on.
It’s blizzard’s failure to read their playerbase. Can’t expect much from them, if a clown mythic booster is in charge of world of warcraft. I’d actually like to see someone in charge of wow with a normal healthy brain, that has never played world of warcraft before. Not ion, not mike ybarra, just some dude, dudem (non-binary), or dudette (feminine)with common sense is what the game needs. Common sense doesn’t imply making content for neets playing 15 hours a day, when almost all of your players are between age of 20 and 40
Putting aside the fact that the community reverses it’s position on basic concepts every 6 months, major titles want to cater to a large audience overall. They only cater to individual groups so they barely stick around, but if they tried to fully satisfy eg. raiders, it would make the game unappealing for everyone else.
They know what they’re doing, it’s just that what’s best for the game isn’t best for individuals like us.
Don’t worry I feel you my sub runs out in 16 days. Not going to renew for at least 2 expansions.
WoW has lost it’s wow factor on me maybe it’s because I’ve played every expansion since vanilla.
It’s not just you and me leaving , my bnet friends list is completely dead. It was almost full at DF launch and OW2 just being released.
My guild is a ghost town , last thing posted on their discord was 14th of Feb.
Price of materials are sunk so low , people aren’t posting orders.
Mythic + sucked the fun out of mythic +. Raid was okay but everyone finished that ages ago.
Honestly the new stuff coming out soon just looks like broken shore 2.0
I respect some people say this is the best expansion ever , but I find it really hard to see and understand how and why ? I log in doing older content most of the time because I find I have nothing to do in the Dragon isles afer reset day.
Dragonriding isn’t that great : / Would rather just pop a flying mount I earned from previous expansion. Press num lock go for a quick bio break.
Evokers although fun the lack of gear or transmog in their dragonid form is really limiting. I raided as a preservation evoker … just seeing shoulders and weapons made me loose interest in loot.
It could be, if they had enough brain to accept the reality of statistics, but they rather choke on delusion, until the game dies, because they can’t forever rely on boomers whaling, and then use their money to make content for a small percentage of neets playing constantly. First and only thing to go away from this weird mindset was implementing the trading post and solo shuffle. The game is far from fixed though, but they have undeniable data now though at least, so the coping delusion can’t win anymore for arguments regarding macro-decisions assuming at least someone in their company has the right idea. Doesn’t take a genius to grasp the simple concept of an aging playerbase, that needs easier accessible content, and maybe even console support, but they should have thought about this 4 years ago already, not only now.
If they were smart, they would have focused on making wow the retirement home of hardcore players from other games like dota instead trying to compete with them directly, but their management is not creative enough to think like that on a macro-scale, because it consists of bias and cope
well in bfa and SL … the bad expansion all my friends and guildies still played the game even if they trash talked about it all the time because there was still things to do
DF there’s nothing to do ! Unless you really scrape hard. Those guys , you ask them , coming to play wow ? DF nah , Classic wrath i’m game to lvl a toon if you like.
DF is that bad that people who love wow and could tolerate two bad expansion can’t be bothered to log into " the best expansion ever dragonflight" says something to me.
