My Fury Warrior DPS is Low

Hi,

I installed Pawn and Simc addons a long time ago. During the playtime, I use Pawn addon to pick the proper gear for my character.

Today, I copied input from Simc addon and plug it in raidbot website so I have a better Pawn output. However, I noticed the website shows that I can do 34k dps while I barley maintain 23k dps in mythic dungeon.

Is that normal?

Yes, check what kind of figth your sim uses. Sims use a Patchwerk fight model and there are no more Patchwerk fights in the game. You’d get a better number by running Light Movement. You also need to run a stat weight sim as there are several breakpoints where the stats changes importance.

I’ve reached a point in Haste now where it’s my fourth best stat. My two best now are Mastery and Versatility in that order.

You are right. It is a Patchwerk fight.

What Is Light Movement?

In Raidsims there’s a green button. If you click that a list of options appears. Choose the one most relevant for the type of content you do.

Just use the ‘top gear’ - function on raidbots, itemizing based on stat weight simming is never 100% accurate. It is far less time intensive on your end than updating pawn with a new string after every item.

You should exceed your single target sim in a dungeon overall, I expect rotational issues are more prevalent than itemization. Feel free to message me on Discord if I can help you with your rotation: PanserNes#8630

Can you share the proper rotation for mutli-trash and single target boss, please?

I already follow wowhead recommendations.

I’ll try to make it short.

This will not be 100% minmaxed. And in general is just the same as what the wowhead guide says. But perhaps me writing it differently sheds some light:

For Single Target, as an easy-to-remember priority list:

  1. Rampage
  2. Execute
  3. Bloodthirst
  4. Raging Blow

^ It’s not 100% accurate, but it’ll get you 95% of the way.

For aoe you always want to have the Meat Cleaver buff up, but you always want to spend all of its’ charges.
That means WW-1-2-WW-1-2 etc, etc.
Only Raging Blow, Execute, Rampage and Bloodthirst is considered a 1 or 2. Use them in the same priority as single target.

Opener:

  • When initiating a fight you want to use Recklessness first, then Charge immediately after to gain the bonus Rage. Then, if none of your auto-attacks miss, your first Bloodthirst should have granted you enough rage to Rampage, if not, press Raging Blow. After Rampage you just follow the Single target rotation from there.

If Opening in aoe, you follow the same order of operations as above, but you want to whirlwind while charging to gain the buff, and always maintain the whirlwind buff. It is fine to cap rage in aoe in order to maintain the whirlwind buff.

Some general tips:

  • You will notice that Bloodthirst fits in every 3rd global, which can be an easy flow in single target. It is also the same occurance as Whirlwind in aoe. So your aoe rotation will often look like: Whirlwind - Bloodthirst - X - Whirlwind - Bloodthirst - X - etc, etc.

  • Take easy talents. I highly recommend Anger Management for pugging M+, as you generally just use it on cooldown, and compared to holding Recklessness + Siegebreaker for the ‘right’ pack/pull forever, will drastically increase your overall damage. And if you have a Reckless Flurry trait you don’t need to hold the cooldown for ~8 seconds.

  • Easy essences, easy trinkets. Try and avoid on-use trinkets unless you’re comfortable using them correctly. Fury, without Blood of the Enemy, doesn’t rely on one huge burst window. And as such an on use trinket isn’t needed, and is often more prone to misplay than anything else. I think of beam as an easy essence to get at rank 2 atleast, and as an easy essence to use. Don’t sit on it’s cooldown, use whenever there’s 2 or more targets.

This advice is highly generalized, some or none of it may apply to you.

Sorry for the late reply. My rotation is similar to what you described.

For the past 2 days, I read wowhead and icy-veins guides. Also, I looted multiple higher items, fixed my talent and picked the proper Azerite traits. Now, I have 3 [Cold Steel, Hot Blood] instead of having only 1.

Tonight, I did a normal raid. My dps is between 31k and 23k. It is away better than before.

For now, I need to look at my stats and essences… I think they need to be tweaked for better results.

Any idea if we can use Blood Fury?

You should. Preferably you should stack it with other cooldowns.

I did that by creating a macro.

Also get Weak Aura and make a custom one for showing when you’ve Enrage and the duration left on it as it shows the window in which you get the most out of using other abilities than Rampaging Blow.

Also make an addition WA that shows when you’re above X Rage.

Give both a Sound Warning when they happen so you get an audial clue instead of having to look for visual clues.

My DPS went up by about 10k when I did that.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I played multiple mythic dungeons in the past 2 days, guess what?

My dps can reach up to 65k in multi-target and +35k in single target (boss).
