My guild please help

So Im an altaholic… I was recently told by a friend that I no longer need to bug someone to log in and invite me to my own guild. Instead I can list my guild on the recruitment section, Ive done this Ive logged my alt in requested to join, my alt GM has approved yet nothing … my alt isnt in my guild, is this a bug? am I missing something? Please help.

I’m not sure I understand the problem.

You find your guild in guild finder. You apply to join, then you relog and look at the applications and approve as appropriate. Then log back on the alt and you’ve got a message telling you you’ve been accepted.

I have my bank guild set up so any of my chars can approve applications.

What part isn’t working?

Well when I log into my alt, it doesnt show that im part of a guild ,when i log into my GM it doesnt show my alt as an offline member.

I just did this to test the process, with a newly-created Level 1.

  1. Level 1 character searched for my guild in the Guild Finder, found it, and applied.
  2. Logged GM, went into Roster->Applicants dropdown, sees alt, Invite
  3. Log back to alt. Open Guild Finder. See “Invited to” message in top left.
  4. Click on that, choose Accept.

and everything worked.

You have to invite the alt on your GM then accept it on the alt.

You have to look at the applications in the guild panel and accept them. I think you are probably missing this step:-

Make sure you havn’t got guild invites blocked in game settings on your alt as that seems to prevent you getting the request back after approval even if you requested it.

Thank you everyone for your responses/help. It turns out once I had done the request from my alt and its acceptance from the GM that I wasnt doing the third step. See Puny’s pic above, in the top left hand corner on my GM chat I had to click that to finalise the acceptance. Once I did that my alt registered as being in my guild. Thanks again
