My last 30 minutes in game, possibly forever

  1. Monk using touch of death on elite mob for quest while waiting near a group of people, yeah dude, kill it just for yourself so we cannot even tag it

  2. running Heroic with no item drop from 4 bosses, as usual, 5 items dropped, but why shouldn’t I get one right Blizzard?!

  3. joining Heroic dungeon after 1st boss, tank left, dps left, seconds later another dps left … just me and healer waiting … yeah like I wasn’t waiting long enough before dungeon right?! … premade of three people joined, I die cause healer went afk … at the entrance I cannot use skip to fly to them because I AM IN COMBAT for whatever reason … then get kicked cause why not …

honestly I am done with all of this, toxicity everywhere, no words, no discussion, no emotions, just zug zug and screw other players like there is no tomorrow

Worst (delayed) launch of all the expansions I played … oh damn …

Can’t speak for the Monk other than say there have always been people like that in the game, but I have always found that they are few and far between.

I think joining a good guild or community could help though, as I do think you get more toxicity in pugs than if running with guildmates/community.

I felt the same as you back at the start of Shadowlands so I left the game, but I didn’t stop gaming, instead I started other games and have had a lot of fun over the last 3 years in other games. I am glad I left at the time I did, as I was in that state of mind where I hated most things about WoW and when you get to that stage, then yes it’s good to take a break. The game doesn’t go anywhere, you can always come back and find that great guild/community and find enjoyment again

not been good boy. no loot.

What a ridiculous list of reasons to whine about. Its irrelevant content chill the season hasnt even started nobody cares about any of this the ilvl right now does not matter dont worry about it its gonna be all irrelevant once season starts.

There will be time to complain about drops but then you will have the vault.

If you’re unhappy then well done on getting out. Though I expect you will still be here weeks, months and maybe even years from now giving your cash to Blizzard.

I think your reply is ridiculous.
Clearly people care about this ‘irrelevant’ content, just because you do not doesn’t mean the same goes for others.

You are not in fact the center of the universe.

Join a community like No Pressure for dungeons and M+: https://discord.gg/nopressureeu

No commitment required, other than that you’re patient and not toxic.

Quitting the game over some issues in heroic dungeons or not getting loot from just five runs (I did Priory at least a dozen times before I got the gloves I wanted) feels a bit like an overreaction.

I get crispy like that when I play too much or having something going on in real life, so taking a brief break is probably best. Or get some sleep and take a walk in the morning. Those things always work for me.

Can I have your stuff?

Oh, another person mad about things that didn’t happen to them in the game. Yawn

Ppl can play the game however they want if the game permits it. If they wanna leave a dungeon and there is no punishment for it, why wouldn’t they? I did, got my trinket from priory (w/e that dungeon is called) and now I can join the masses complaining that there’s nothing to do!

Hey, if you ever want someone to slow down for you, I’m more than willing to join you for dungeon runs! Just message me or send me a mail on Enluu - Argent Dawn, but you can also message Naalre Argent Dawn or Tinkari Argent Dawn. These are my mains.

As a returning player I share all of your criticism.
However keep in mind that this is the wow forum…
While some users are genuinely nice people, most will only say “skill issue” or “go away”.

You already got the month, imho finish it, call it a loss and move on.
OR if you really like the gameplay, find a guild of likeminded people.

The monk is right. Most of the time this game bring the worst out of the players, greed, selfishness, lack of care, no team working, trashing newcomers in progress gearing up. 90% of the time, 5 people heroic dungeons are a sad and stressful experience for those that can’t run like robot5s and click on everything in a split second, risking to be kicked and so on.If lucky to have 5 friends to play with such heroics and forget about the challenged general attitudes. You act like AI not humans anymore. I am playing wow since 2005. Was once a great game for everyone. Such playing behaviors ruined it. And is no hope for getting it back. I consider lost money the monthly fee anyway, I am donating it to Blizz hoping one day this will help make it right for everyone, a game for each player not just for elitists zombies.

People in this state of game (Before mythic dungeons are out) are going on heroic for specific drops, if the first boss has the drop they want and it doesn’t drop they are out. It’s that simple. You as a “casual” that likes the game you are there to kill all bosses, they are not. You just have to deal with it.

As for monks, this is the worst reason leaving the game i’ve ever heard. And for no loot… bro you are playing a game with chances, you just have to spam those dungeons.
I’ve run Ara-kara for more than 50 times and didn’t get the Legs and Waist i need for this week and still didn’t got them.

For all the item drop issues, i feel is only a game design responsible: build addiction through frustration. The next step or just another is reset entire player game effort and time spent to achieve something. Overnight is gone, has to start from zero a hectic almost never ending story in profession or gearing progress. Sooner or later, you give up and stop to care, you just click on something to get doesn’t matter what, while knowing will be obsolete next week or next day. Game doesn’t build character but pain. And to reiterate 1000 times something in order to get an outcome is not a game anymore, is just lab mouse like automated reflex. Is making humans stupid. I feel like being one while playing it since 2005. I must be a no life retard. Server down for maintenance, switched on cata for a quick dungeon where the druid tank killed team rushing through like was no tomorrow and needing and wining on plate item in the end.
I stopped on my dk and asked myself why I am playing this nightmare? And the same I stopped smoking, I cancelled my subscription and uninstalled 120GB of wow from my PC. So now suddenly is peace and nothing else matter.

  1. Sorry, I did that once and felt really bad because I didn’t see the guy coming in (I’m questing as MW and it takes me ages to kill anything).

  2. Yeah RNG loot sucks but people like it+personal loot as well. You gotta have the stomach to beg -err, I mean politely ask if others neeeeeeed the loot.

  3. I it takes 30 seconds to replace a tank and half the group. I know because it happens to me 1 in 3 dungeons at this point.

4? Yes, welcome to launch when everyone’s all piled up into the same content. This week will be a lot worse.

In the nicest possible way this kind of thing happens in games that are multiplayer. In a perfect world, it wouldn’t but it’s an MMO and we can’t control/predict how others will behave. It’s best not to get upset or wound up to this extent. Roll your eyes, think of a few suitable names (do not type them in chat) but not get this angry about it.

Is it inconvenient, yes, but is it the end of the world? No. Not every dungeon will be like this. RNG is a cruel Mistress and getting loot will always be hit and miss. However you will get some sooner or later or people may not need the loot they get and can trade it to you.

I don’t know if the communities are running dungeons already but you could check some of them out.

We’ve all been there at some point, a mob is nuked by others, or one person so no one else can tag. Dungeons leavers has started again with the new expansion and has resulted in Blizzard giving all leavers the full penalty.

Hopefully you feel a better for having got it off your chest.

thanks guys for all the kind words, this game just feels like being on a treadmill after all these years, will see what I can do

Personally, I can’t wait on spending 3 years to get the Unbound Changeling again. Last time I had to run that blasted dungeon 30 times and said “never again! …”

Well guess what.

You can get the same ilevel gear as HC dungeon from Bountiful Delves. I got to 570 in a few hours and didn’t do HC spam.

I hate HC spam and so does probably everyone else. Doing it just makes Blizzard think people like it.
