My lore wishes for Last Titan and the following expansion (The New world)

Azeroth is corrupted by the Void, she begins to awaken, destroying Azeroth in the process. The titan return in their space ship only for massive black tendrils to come out the ground and devour them. Illidan then comes out and releases Sargeras. Sargeras rips the Sword from Sithilus and cleaves the world in two, killing Azeroth and himself in the process. Our heroes are thrown through time with the last of Nozdormu power where we arrive 200 years in the future, to the New world of Azeroth. A world Cleaved in two, that now resembles more like Outland, fractured, torn apart. entire new factions have formed, new heroes, new villians. setting up a brand new world.

How would you feel about this?

I would hate the idea of world and lore we got attached to over past 30 years getting obliterated in an instant. All of that just so they could shoehorn completly new, alien setting.
It’s like in horror movies where at the very start of second movie they kill off main protagonists from first one.
