I have a 2015 Mac with a i5 processors do a os 12.0. I can download wow however I when I press play it just bounces in the task bar and then disappears.
What kind of Mac?
Check in WoW folder if there is a text log/crash file created/updated when you try to run the game.
macOS monterey
iMac 21.5-inch late 2015
Processor 2.8 ghz quad core intel core i5
Memory 8 go 1867 MHz ddr3
Graphics intel iris pro graphics 6200 1536 mb
You have to check for the log file. The iMac is pretty old and with that iGPU it will have problems to reach 30 FPS at 1080p. With 720p render scale it should be better assuming there will be enough RAM for everything.
I can’t see any crash logs
Can you try launching WoW from macOS terminal? If it crashes it’s very likely such error would then be visible in the terminal.
What does that mean lmao, I cannot use macs
Intro: https://www.makeuseof.com/open-terminal-on-mac/
The goal is to open the terminal, go to WoW folder (cd "/Applications/World of Warcraft/_retail_/"
and launch the game with like: ./NAME_OF_LANUCHER_FILE_HERE
- likely named “wow” or alike (you can use ls
command to list folder contents and see what are the file names).
This is the same process as when clicking on an icon/using BNet launcher but if it crashes it should print error messages in the terminal - which we need to see what’s wrong.
Bigkeg is most likely right on the money here. The listed specs for the Mac put it potentially below the minimum requirements of the game in terms of video card, so we unfortunately cannot promise this will ever work - and even if it does, performance will be very limited.
Ty for the support I really appreciate it XX
