My new monitor is flickering in WoW!

Hello!

I just bought myself a new and nice monitor yesterday. It is an Odyssey G727 1440p with g-sync.

I have a huge problem though, since there is some immense flickering all the time, when I play WoW. I tried Overwatch and other games and they’re running perfect with no flickering, it is only in WoW.

I’ve tried to google it and troubleshoot it myself and come down to it is caused by having G-Sync enabled. Whenever I turn off Adaptive Sync on my monitor, the flickering dissapears. With G-sync on there is no problem in other games!

I have tried a lot of settings, turning Triple Buffering off, lowering shadow quality, turning on ray tracing, Vsync on, but nothing helps. Yesterday I turned Directx12 off and went to 11, which helped, but today it is also, when I am playing on Dx11.

I made sure my graphic drivers and firmware to the monitor is up to date.

I could just turn off G-sync, but it wouldnt be a good solution for me, since it was the reason I got the monitor.

I hope someone can help! Best regards

Edit: I also tried turning off all addons.

Turning V-Sync on and off would’ve been first idea aswell. Also try different settings for Max Foreground FPS (System > Advanced).

Try switching between Fullscreen (Windowed) and Fullscreen aswell.

Are your FPS dipping a lot when you notice the flickering? I think some G-Sync monitors have a minimum supported Refresh Rate for G-Sync. If your FPS dip below that you might notice flickering.

Had this on a couple of PC’s and rolling back the Nvidia drivers to BEFORE 460 i.e. 457 fixed the problem for me.
