My Problem with Primal Wrath and Feral bleeds Pls Druid Dev Fix it

I’ve been playing Feral Druid for 10 years now, most likely in PVP, And I have to say that the Gameplay has never been as bad as in Dragonflight when it comes to this class

and i give the main reason Primal wrath (Aoe) for it, why Bleeds are like this, currently

Feral bleeds are Feeling weak in Single Target, (i dont know if this is the same in Pve)

But from my point of view it is a very bad design when a single target spell is also an aoe spell

Primal Wrath

Finishing move that deals instant damage and applies Rip to all enemies within 8 yards. Lasts longer per combo point.

So we have a spell that apply Rip on multiple targets, why is it bad?

It’s bad because it’s the same ability as the single target ability, this means, if u buff it because it does no Dmg in Singletarget, it will do TOO much dmg in Aoe Scenarios

This ability causes too many balancing problems, the dev where is responsible for feral, should either change the ID of RIP OR Primal Wrath Should apply a Aoe oriented Bleed with a New Name What also benefit from Ferals Mastery.

Like instead of Spreading Rip to all targets, Primal Wrath apply a Primal Bleed to all targets or any Kind of Rp Name, but not a Singletarget Bleed

So you can fully balance rip on single target damage again, without buffing/nerfing Aoe bleed in the Same time

I think the change wouldn’t cause any problems for PVE players, and would therefore help devs when it comes to the balance of Feral Bleeds in Single target, and Aoe.

As an average player I can say the following. The Feral designer either doesn’t play Warcraft or doesn’t play cats.

The class is devoid of identity - there is no outstanding mobility, survivability, or damage. There is no variability - you either hit solo or deal AoE damage. Both are at an average level. the recovery from regrowth is just ridiculous. In the keys you constantly jump into bear form to survive the AoE. You press a bunch of buttons and monitor timers, and you get what another specialization does while drinking beer.

Just a forgotten spec that no one gives a damn about. Because most of the developers’ attention is spent on polishing the armor of the paladins.

Agreed. Ret got completely overhauled bcos they had a passionate designer on it. Feral hasnt had anyone passionate about it for many, MANY, years.

Untill Legion, damage in raids was Rip n Rake with filler Bites. Now we just bite constantly, have been for ages. Its so poor. Feral has lost Savage Roar and not gained anything for Single Target - 1minute convoke still casts wrath and healing spells; why? Its pathetic. Zerk and Incarn has only been nerfed since BFA. IF you devs dont like it, remove the spells and figure out something better.

Actually SIT DOWN and look over the spec. See where it lacks. Instead of these off the cuff changes which dont really make it better other than in a vacuum.

Also; why isnt there a Feral-Balance hero talent? Devs are awfully poor when it comes to Feral design. Was good in DF-prepatch but ONE Psybear video got us giga nerfed and relegated us back to obscurity again.

Considering the effort put into making Ret, DK, Mage and Lock look and play so well, Feral gets nothing.

I agree with this. The only reason feral has even been playable in DF is because they gave it to someone who looked at the suggestions players were making and implemented some (possibly most) of them.

Agreed. I suggested separating Rip and PW ahead of the new talent trees, but it seems it fell on deaf ears. We actually had the opposite problem in SL - they couldn’t make feral competitive in AOE because it would have been broken in ST.

Yep exactly, the only difference in Shadowlands was, that feral had the option to take a Legendary

Draught of Deep Focus
When Moonfire, Rake, Rip, or Rejuvenation are active on a single target, their effects are increased 40%.

I mean this Legendary was kinda “lazy designe” and felt in some situations terrible, but atleast u had the option to have more “bleed dmg” in single target

They could bring it back, or they just Change the Single target and Aoe Rip

this Aoe game designe makes no reason in so many ways, and only causes major balance problems like you said

i liked this gameplay allot, i also played it with moonfire, it was only a 2% difference with dmg in raids, but was fun to play

this also causes some designe problems in pvp, for example cloth classes like mage, or some leather classes getting hit by huge bites, what can just vanish 40% of the enemys health, but against plate or tanky classes we do litteraly zero dmg

and also the designe is weird, i miss these days where i just full bleed someone, the bleeds did a high amount of dmg, while i tried to cc the enemy heal.

The Feral dev what worked in sl on Feral, just Left Blizzard in the Alpha of Dragonflight without saying anything

so Blizz didnt had a new Feral dev for the release of Dragonflight, and i think they still dont have a dev what is working on feral.

i just want a straight option, where i can decide to have high single target bleeds, or aoe bleeds

and they just could fix it so easily by just changing Primal wrath

THEY DONT even have to Nerf Primal wrath, JUST CHANGE single target rip and Aoe rip

It´s like imagine Frostbolt is a Aoe spell and Singletarget spell in the same time, in Aoe fights it does okay /good dmg

but isnt worth to use in singletarget fights, how bad is such an gameplay like this?

With this change they would help Pve and pvp Feral druids in the same time, and it´s also easier to balance this class around singletarget, and aoe dmg
