My subscription payment goes through, but my account is still inactive after 4 days

As so many others, I decided to re-open my account yesterday with the release of the pre-patch for Shadowlands.

When I add subscription to my account, it says that it went through with the following wording: “Thank you” and “Subscribed: World of Warcraft Subscription - 1 month”, but my account still says inactive and I can’t login.

I’ve tried over the login screen, battle net app and website - no luck.

Over the last 22 hours, I must have tried over 15 times and all the times I’ve received the above mentioned wording (Hope I don’t get withdrawn for all my attempts…)

What to do?

4 days have past now and my account is still not active. I even tried to pay again this morning where the payment like all the previous ones, went through.

There had been a couple payment issues at and after pre-patch launch day.

If you’ve only tried the subscription method so far, try this gametime block instead: https://eu.shop.battle.net/en-gb/product/world-of-warcraft-game-time

If Blizzard has no order from you (in your order history) usually your money is only reserved by your bank, if no charge comes to grab them they’ll be usually released in a couple business days (can take up to a week?).

If you DID get charged ask Blizzard for a refund for the time you do not want to use.

Depending on the bank, the hold can last up to 30 calendar days. PayPal pending transactions as well.

Also, the transaction can get stuck from a variety of reasons, including a simple internet hiccup.
