Yeah, well im playing Death Knight since 8.1 patch and i have some thoughts about that whole nonsense happening to that poor class.
- Rune of Razorice is main reason why Frost DK sucks. I mean seriously, we have plenty of runes being truly weapon enchants like Fallen Crusader or Hysteria. But there is one rune in the game since wotlk and all it gives is passive 15% frost dmg increase. Come on, remove it and buff our frost dmg by that amount.
- Mastery sucks. Its just flat +magic school dmg increase to Frost/Unholy which is main reason why our abilities numbers are so low (49% of attack power Frost Strike, 50% attack power death coil lmao).
- Talents nerfed in pvp… its unfair for us compared to other classes.
- Death Strike - op without nerf, forget about it with nerf. Just change it, please. Make it Runic Power spender available only for Blood build. For Frost/Unholy make it only available to use with Dark Succor proc changed to be PPM from melee swings and give us talents like:
Permafrost: Your Frost Strike drain heat from your target causing you to gain absorb barrier for 50% damage it deals, this effect stacks to max of 30% of your maximum health. Also your AMS lasts 3 seconds longer and turns into Frost Shield causing it to absorb physical damage aswell. But you can no longer proc Dark Succor.
Spell Eater: AMS Absorbs 30% more magic damage with duration increased by 5 seconds, in addition to that, your Death Coil now drains health from your enemy causing it to regenerate your health by 100% of damage it deals per 6 seconds. Casting another Death Coil on enemy target refresh this effect but does not increase its healing done, and you can no longer proc Dark Succor.
- Ghoul has too little impact on Unholy gameplay, it just wanders around and do damage. His Claw ability should apply Festering Wound on your target and throw Festering Strike out, because its a horrible ability.
- Killing Machine working with Obliterate is a TERRIBLE idea. ATM Obliterate deals too low dmg without proc but when Killing Machine is on window oh boy… you can really obliterate your target from existence. KM should proc from melee swings and give 100% crit to Frost Strike.
- Rune Strike. Give. It. To. Every. Spec. To. Work. With. Rotation. Please.
- And bring us back Presences, at least one per spec. Paladin has Auras, Warrior stances (even if talented) so why we are the only plate class without any raid buffs and flavor :_:

really? the pets are doing like 70% of Uh dmg… dude. since they scale with mastery thats why uh is one of the best melee in pve atm
its not that high but yes, its is huge in lessening the impact on mechanics downtime.
the ghoul alone is around 30% (normal dmg, DT, unholypact all summed together)
death coil (with leggy) and SS should be around 8-10%
and apocalypse ghouls another 15% depending on potency conduits
the rest is among blight dot, virulent, wounds, autoatack, soul reaper (best execute in the game)
mastery is just that good for DKs
You’re talking about numbers. Im talking about gameplay. You use raise dead and forget about timmy. Imo his claw ability should apply festering wounds, and Festering Strike should be thrown away.
And yeah, im glad devs aren’t reading forum posts. So i can pretend my favourite class is fine, even when im struggling to reach 1.5k in 2s and doing low-mid dmg in raids.
if u dont like dk dont play it:)) simple as that instead of complaining and ruin it for others that enjoy it. like BOS build, dont like it dont play it

breath isnt the only option thankfully, obliteration is is also viable for frost with some upsides and downsides.
but breath just makes better use of lust and potions for example
but those that dont enjoy breath can still perform good with olbiteration build

i made the BOS point cuz im one of the few that likes it a lot:) in bfa also legion also. now also i got a dual wiled set to play bos in pve. and im mad when people wanted to remove it just cuz they dont like it…

luckly raid mechanics havent been that punishing to breath like in tomb of sargeras
for example i got 226 2hand wep from pvp and play with duble 200 weps from myuthic 7 just to play bos build… like yeah… i would do more dps as uh:))
BoS doesn’t need to be removed. It needs to be reworked. Same with Obliteration. It’s ridiculous that most of our damage is loaded into burst cooldowns, while outside of them we hit like a wet noodle. It’s even more ridiculous that our other talents are tuned and balanced around these two talents.
I’ve tested my unholy rotation, and Timmy is doing 7% of my overall dmg. For comparison Festering Strike did 8.6% of my dmg

i didnt saw ure 52… relax… with leggo and conduits and mastery staking pets do most of ure dmg
