What I’m saying is that rewards need to be sustained over the entire lifespan of a patch. When you stop getting rewards, the game stops being as fun. It is just a tool, yes, but getting better tools can be compelling and fun.
Unfortunately, Blizzard are doing a really poor job in this regard, and many of th issues can be laid directly at the feet of M+. M+ rewards too much.

As a tank the only thing that bugs me is that you can’t plan your route/pulls beforehand cause emissary possitions change each week. Specially in pugs you will be the one responsible of calling the shots and since you are on a timer you don’t exactly have the time to discuss each emissary pull. Should we LOS pull this pack? Should we cc emissary and split the grp? Do we need interrupts / stuns on this pull? Where can we LOS? Oh that rock breaks LOS!
I wish blizzard would release a weekly intelligence report blog gathered by some faction spy that details emissary positions for this week. I guess I’m allowed to keep dream
Yes, 10 should be easier cause you get an essenses this season.
The real difference is that now dungeons scale way more intensive from 10 to 11, 11 to 12, etc every time the jump between them is bigger.
did they change something in the scaling?
I found indeed Tol Dagor on tyrannical way way harder on +10 than on +9 but I thought maybe i just had a bad group. Only talking about the bosses not the trash and the stupido raid mobs
It could be a lot of things. I notice huge gaps in difficulty based on which groups I am in, rather than the number on the key.
I did +9 Waycrest I think, and it hardly felt any different to +10 Motherlode. Those were my 2nd. and 3rd. mythic+ this season, yet I hardly felt any difference in difficulty, and we had some retarded fokkups on both runs(like wiping 3 times on the witches in WC, and ninjapulling way too many times in Motherlode). We were able to dodge all the Void emissaries in Motherlode though. They were all placed in very good positions for our sake I don’t even remember what the Void ones do, but heard it is suppose to be nasty.
We have a 11 Temple laying around which we hope to get done today. I am curious how that will turn out. I like Temple, but can imagine it being a little more rough with the emissaries hanging around.
I don’t really notice the emissaries that much, but the bosses get really crazy on tyrannical and take forever.
The first and last boss on TG are really a pain and take several minutes to kill even with quite high dps
Void emissaries is focused usually die before their second cast or shortly after so they never kill anyone, just focus the dps.
The anti cc emissaries are usually much worse in trash packs which require interrupts for high dmg spells
Well I dunno if it’s just a ML thing but it was extremely easy on a +10. Last night we decided to do for a few low-geared guildies (everyone except me was around 410 and one of them didn’t even have an essence) for the weekly 10. We almost 2-chested it. The only emissaries we had to kill were Tidal ones (the ones that make the trash immune to CC/interrupt). All others could be skipped. But I guess the dungeons that are not that open would be harder. Definitely not overtuned imo.
So, Ive done I think 4 10’s so far, 2 in time, all pugs (happy to report you can get into 10’s with a non existent S3 score, takes 10-ish minutes tho)
The new affix is idk, if all zerg the void emissary it just dies in 10 seconds, no hiding no def, just burn cd’s. The only time it was a problem was when we tried to hide from casts. Then the time running to the target etc etc and it went to shyte.
Buy when everyone zergs it, it’s kinda trivial. I’d say last season’s affix had more chances of an accidental mistake and wipe.
Some dungeons seem nearly too easy while others are extreme hard.
Boss fights like the first one in TD or the 3 witches in WM are again typical bosses where you have a hard time with range dps’.
FH and ML just feel like a joke difficulty-wise compared to the rest
