Hi, few days ago got a Key(my key) for a +14 for Halls of Valor, things didn’t go well… 2 people proceeding with the suggestion i should kill myself, even tho i stated in the group i created that i needed a carry and that i was new + i don’t know what i did wrong.
Why is this Mythic system like that? Throws you in a Dungeon randomly on such a high difficulty? I did ok on other Mythics that i practice a bit on regular Dragonflight Expansion Dungeons.
My suggestion is: Game should detect if the player ever completed at least 1 time that dungeon with high level mobs, if the player didn’t do it, it should make him do it at least 1 time on +1/2/3(for example) something a bit lower end(maybe give him a different key that goes away after the completion of that “tutorial” try).
Because throwing a person that never step a foot on that same dungeon + mythic+ + timer to beat… how are we supposed to learn?
P.S.: Please be patient with new players…? Or don’t apply for their groups. Are you expecting them to carry? I don’t get it…
You must have completed a dungeon at a similar level to get that level key, otherwise you do a mythic 0 and receive your +2 key and work your way up from there
You want the game to limit what keys you can join…because you picked one that’s too hard for you?
Plus, as klappy pointed out you must’ve done high keys earlier otherwise you wouldn’t have had a +14. Why you lying?
Yes i did the Dragonflight dungeons on mythic and on non-mythic before i got to Halls of Valor for the very first time(i did Halls of Valor 1 time in non-mythic to go get my pet: Fennyr. Which was 1 shotting boss and mobs and turn right and get Fennyr as pet, couldn’t even see their mechanics).
I hope you reported the people telling you to kill yourself.
It sounds like the people applying didn’t even read what you put as a description. You should try one of the communities that do M plus. Both Dungeon Dojo and Scared of Dungeons have very good reputations.
Both are non toxic environments, Dungeon Dojo aims to teach as well.
And your solution is to limit all 3 million players (or whatever) to doing every level of every dungeon one by one, even though you just admitted that you got hard carried in most runs and haven’t learned anything?
Again, read: “My suggestion is: Game should detect if the player ever completed at least 1 time that dungeon with high level mobs, if the player didn’t do it, it should making him do it at least 1 time on +1/2/3(for example) something a bit lower end(maybe give him a different key that goes away after the completion of that “tutorial” try).” NOT the ALL the players.
yes the community is pretty toxic especially in these type of content. wow probably has the worst community when it comes to understanding the struggles new players have. you can lower your key’s level via the npc .
tho i can understand the frustration of seeing a new player in +14. you should’ve tried lower levels of the same dungeon before doing that key , that part is on you but you’re right about the rest.
about the tutorial part, yes. they should add something that shows people how to do m+ . there’s no instruction in the game about this.
Thanks for the suggestion <3 but i will just start doing Mythics with my guild.
Community doesn’t seem to embrace new random players that well in a online game.
I believe you and @Punyeld, but i shouldn’t need to go outside of the game to play the game normally. And i’m here to make a suggestion(maybe i’m on the wrong section of forum, only created 3 topics(even here i’m a noob x) )), not to call out people(as i didn’t point any names).
Well, i am afraid a lot of stuff out of the game is needed to play the game I am also hoping for you your guild will have a discord server. Discord works amazing and the ingame communication tools are terrible.
I started playing in TBC and people were vile to me. It’s a miracle I kept playing
There are lovely people out there too. Sometimes you have to seek them out. I’ve made all sorts of friends playing this game. Via guilds, communities, the forums, and in game.
Yes they do have discord And they are always insisting to play with them, but i thought i would learn a bit, then join them for real on a more regular basis(or roster) with the idea was of surprising them with my evolution. Didn’t work that well, oh well. x)
It works the other way. Guilds and communities are more willing to invest into your progression because you’ll play with them again tomorrow. Pugs are strangers whom you’ll never meet again (most of whom have already suffered through their share of progression) so they don’t want to do it in every group.
