The meta is defined by a dozen players doing the highest keys, and 99% of players mindlessly copying them, without thinking it might not even make sense in the keys they’re doing.
Hunter has had an issue for a long time that their defensives both passive and active are very lackluster, additionally, BM is not a vers stacking class which also has a huge influence on their ability to survive.
So yes, while hunter might seems “broken” in lower keys, they’re not gonna be part of the meta comp in the highest keys.

Just because something is meta in the highest keys doesn’t mean it’s what people should copy for their 15’s or w/e as they do now. But asking random people to think instead of mindlessly copying Echo and co is to much to ask for I guess.

There’s a similar problem with inviting havoc DH to keys. They don’t die easily (although some seem to manage it), but most FOTM rerollers don’t seem to have a clue how to do damage. You never know if the DH you invite is going to top the meters by a long way or do barely above tank damage.
