Mythic Kil'Jaeden Help?

I’m very confused by this boss fight. Whilst the mechanics are really easy, the damage from the mechanics is a huge problem for some reason. I have too much damage on me. The armageddon does the most damage. My self healing isn’t enough. I can handle the purple orbs and that lot. But of course, this boss isn’t easily soloable, because damage output is an issue too.

All I need from it is this transmog: Vicegrip of the Unrepentant

What can I do here, so I don’t have to torture myself? Any suggestions for a transmog piece similar to that one?

Edit:
Found a good pair. Called the Rift Stalker Gauntlets. They go really well with this set. Better than the Kil’Jaeden gloves IMO.

Edit 2:
Did a run on my Horde toon, with a pug. Managed to get to Kil’Jaeden, and down him on the 3rd try, with the exception of us all being dead and a Demon Hunter carrying us (No surprise). It’s impossible to do without a mobile character. And the fact Armageddon and singularity can happen both at once just makes it so overtuned. Sure, I could pop a mobility cooldown (Disengage for example) and still soak it. Most of the pug stayed, and the gloves dropped… just wish others didn’t have to do this atrocity.

Go in group with your mythic lockout I’d.

I wouldn’t recommand solo that boss - that boss is pug breaker till a day.

Bring other people, stack the same armor so if someone other drops it you can have it, if you don’t have gentle people in guild just hire some mercenaries

Try to bring some healers along for the ride. Have some Healthstones. Use Spirit Beast pet for a quick heal. Can’t really stack armor types because of Legacy Loot, but thanks to that anyone in the raid has a chance to get your gloves to drop.

A pro tip for the fight is that everyone in the raid can stay mounted to tackle the orbs mechanics better, and then they can dismount after Kil’jaeden stops flying around. Always face your back towards the Orb that about to go off so you knock over to the next one, Raid Markers helps. Also, the more Demon Hunters the better, they can totally ignore the Orbs mechanic and have great endurance. Of course you should have a full Mythic raid for the sake of it, so 20/20 people.

Source: I PuG Mythic Kil’jaeden a lot and I lead the raid.

Did Blizzard implement legacy loot rules in legion content already?

Yup, all Legion content now has Legacy Loot. If you do Normal Nighthold solo for example you’ll get a ton of loot and have way better chances at certain elusive items.

In full raids people will get loot regardless of their class, armor type, loot specialization, etc.

Great information, thank you!

Thanks for the responses, but the issue is still the same. I’m not going to find many players willing to do this boss. I know there would be a lot of Demon Hunters who will (The Tmog for DH’s look great). And the problem isn’t really isn’t the mechanics at this point. It’s getting a group to do it. Because the group is the hardest part. A healer would make it a walk in the park.

I’m still open for suggestions on Transmog. Just some blue/silvery gloves would do.

I took it on my Warlock. Our raid leader left the group by flaming us for not knowing mechanics, hence I took the leadership from him, we were down to 3 people, a tank demonhunter, a roleplayer worgen hunter and me… They were about to leave too, I said wait I’ll recruit again then invited 18 people. Told them before we start “We’ll wipe 10 times first so be ready for that until you learn mechanics”, it took 6 tries to kill it.

Just find a few people patient people you’ll get it.

The one time I pugged mythic KJ, I lost a large part of the raid in first intermission, the rest of them in the second intermission and had to basically solo his last phase :frowning:
