It used to be easy and fun.Now its just fun,not easy anymore.
This season is particularly trash for Pugging keys above portal level.
Do what I do. I am taking a break waiting until the MDI is over. When its over, blizzard MIGHT roll in some changes. They never do any dungeon tuning while their e-sport events are rolling.
So wait until then, and then judge if you keep playing or you wait until S2.
What changes do you expect? Devs donât really like to admit their mistakes, so I personally donât see them removing 15sec death timer or revert mobs spell queue changes. I lost faith already.
Rets are the ones with the highest percentage of bad players cause of class fantasy btw. When itâs a bad player, itâs usually a ret.
Also unfair ret does more dmg on average plus great utility
They already nerfed the 15s death timer to give you +1.5 minutes to every dungeon. And the +12 affix went from 20% to 10%.
Was that enough? Clearly it wasent. So I expect them to do more than that.
As for changing the spell quew, I doubt it. But they could nerf the damage of some spells.
But whartever they do, if we stop complaining they wont do anything.
Ye Iâm very close to just quit. Not worth it anymore. No fun trying to get into groups for hours or trying to create one yourself when it also takes a very long time because no tank or healer wants to apply. Just tired of this
Not meta and youâre competing with 23042934 other DPS mass queueing for keys.
Yes. Reward ends at 10. 11 is quite a bit harder than 10 and not worth the hassle. The key pushers are above 11 already as well.
This isnt HFC.
More like PuGging is dead but itâs more or less the same. Unless you have a lot of free time to kill and a steady supply of sedatives, seek out a guild/community for it.
You could join a community or a guild, make some friends and notice how much more enjoyable the game will be
Log out, and start a new character.
I got around 50 in 30s to +10 as Prot. Seems very much alive to me
Yep PUG right now is horrible state
it was way better in DF
Same as a healer. Getting 8 weeklies takes 8 applications and I canât remember the last time someone left or the key wasnât +2.
many people this season are calling it quit after +10 as the setting is pretty hard this season .
My take as a filthy casual, who played this game since WoW start and M+ from BFA. I was used to playing multiple toons on M+ (1-7 level) - went for KSH in Shadowlands first time, DF I was doing almost solely mythic runs - up to 40 runs a week playing all roles during Emissary.
What change for TWW? I concetrated on one toon, one Iâm posting with - sucked badly even though - it was supposedly meta (100% on me). Once I hit 2000 RIO on untimed run I decided Iâm not wasting more of my and others players time to help me climb on other toons. Rating perfectly illustrates my level of commitment to M+ this season. Iâll still do 1-5 runs a week on lower keys. I donât even consider playing healer or tank roles in M+, level of toxicity you are exposed in TWW is extreme and unacceptable for me.
Delves would be my main game mode for gearing from now on. I can comfortably finish T8-9, even soloing on some characters. Vault reward being Hero gear 616 item level is more then I can wish for in M+, requiering completion of M8+ for this level of reward. I managed to complete two delves T8 on 10 characters last week, grabbed a few set pieces (few necks and cloaks too ).
It doesnât feel as rewarding as timed M+ run does. But I guess Iâll have to adapt, since M+ has proven to not be intended for my skill level in TWW.
Yes, but along the way youâre likely to get a ++ or a nearly ++ and you might even get a +11 done, so thereâs a good chance that by the time you have all 10âs done youâll get around 2.7k.
Not that this helps at all - youâve still got all these 2.7k people hanging out in +10 range blocking literally everybody else from joining in.
This is such a silly take though. +10 are essentially the only way to progress unless your guild can clear more than the first few M raid bosses. Weâre not âblockingâ anyone, people just prefer to play with others who are on their level.
Why donât the âeverybody elseâ do the same and play with each other?
Itâs not a silly take at all, but the situation is excessively silly!
We can see it happening.
Simply put, if you apply for a group with high RIO, you donât get invited with a low score.
If you host with a low score, higher rated people wonât sign up and people of your rating will usually only sign up out of desperation. Generally people will look for the good groups for 20 minutes and then try - which means youâve waited a ton of time as the keyholder - or they wonât try and optionally make a QQ thread on the forums about M+ being dead.
If you apply to a group that is low rated as a low rated player, those players will attempt to avoid inviting you due to your low (but equal to themselves) score. It takes a while before they finally give up and start sending invites to low rated people.
The result of all this is that you canât join any groups, and if you make one yourself it takes aaaaaaages for people to sign up.
Youâve basically summed up every grouped content in every video game as well as the entire IRL job market or when a group of people look for a new member for literally anything.
The only question you should be asking is why do groups invite tanks and healers who are 10-20 ilvl below the groupâs average.
If all roles were equally played, the wait time for a 2700 player would be the same as for a 2000.
The issue with DPS queue times has nothing to do with metas, or the difficulty of the content, or the elitism of high end players.
Even the DPS sign up extremely slowly. It doesnât really matter.
And yes, I have indeed described the job market, but in this case all have congregated around a particular job of equal merit and people of tons of different levels of experience are trying to get at it. In the corporate world, much like in M+ when itâs working properly, thereâs a ladder.
But this time the ladder is so compressed that people who should be doing +12âs are not daring and just farm +10âs all day, locking people who actually need to do +10 to progress out from it. If these +12 people werenât signing up for +10 all the time there would be no problems.
