Ok so I am in no way an expert in mythic+ or the intricacies of WoW, however this season is the the first time I’ve been pushing the mythic + scene (all keys at 11 atm so hardly a massive push I know) but to push any higher lacks any motivational rewards other than IO score which is something I don’t really care about if I’m honest.
Saying that though, This idea I had, which has probably already been thought of and suggested, but anyway, it would be good if +12’s and over gave a chance to drop an upgrade token if the key is timed, then for every like 5 tokens, you get to upgrade a piece of gear from hero to myth. Wouldn’t make mythic+ any better/faster to increase gear rating than mythic raiding would. Someone would still have to put in time and energy each week to time 12’s. And isn’t that something Blizz has stated before? That they want the reward to match the time invested?
As it stands, someone who exclusively M+ and doesn’t raid, it would take, in perfect circumstances, 15-16 weeks minimum to get myth track in all slots, that’s if you are insanely lucky and get a vault slot for a piece of gear that’s not already myth. So if we take bad vaults into consideration you’re looking at around 20-30 weeks of vaults to get full myth gear if you don’t do any mythic raiding. Considering a season is around 25 weeks long, it seems rather unrewarding to do anything beyond 8 +10s a week for 3 vault slots, other than for IO score
Having uncapped/increased crest drop sounds like a good change, but when you take into consideration how slow it is to actually get myth track gear for the non-raiders, its actually useless for most endgame toons because you’ll have an overabundance of crests and nothing to spend them on.
