Mythic plus dungeons too long

The shortest timer is 30 freaking minutes! One is 33, and the rest are 36+.

Personally, I loved mythic plus in Legion, I got the max gear weekly chest about 80%+ of the time, and weekly chest for the last year of Legion.

Now, these longer dungeons feel more like raids. Long, stressful, and painful.

Gone, are the enjoyable “slam, bam, thank you ma’am” feelings. Its all now a long term relationship.

I am a committed player. I will always stay until the end, no matter what, I will never leave bros hanging–no matter how bad they are.

I have completed m+ dungeons with 3 players (Legion)!! Granted, that was Darkheart Thicket, and two people just couldn’t do Dersaron 10+. We finished with tank, healer, dps.

My point being, I will compete until there is no viable path forward.

In Beta for Azeroth, some boss +affixes combinations literally take wipe after wipe for people to get right (sometimes, myself included). Really feels like a raid.

I am not saying all dungeons should be faceroll, or even any. But, think about it. Mythic plus is a timed, stress, no dragging your azz focused experience, and STILL the shortest dungeon is 30 minutes?!?!

This thread is not about specific dungeons, internal mechanics or anything. If “fast, timed” runs are tuned for 30+ minutes, how long are normal dungeons supposed to take?? 45+ minutes??

I know some timers recently had 3+ minutes added to them, and it is not unwarranted. Some dungeon timers were/are very tight. One wipe, and you can almost forget about the timer.

I am ok with that, but for the love of Thrall I would like the dungeon times to be reduced by 15-20% across the board. Not just drop timer, but change content, so the timer is feasible.

Less trash, namely.

I am all for engaging, challenging game play, but if I wanted it to be long, I would be raiding.

Not going to go into deflecting counter arguments. Suffice it to say, I would just like shorter dungeon experiences–like before Beta.

ur forgotting hall of valor, wich was 45min but i agree, quickies like MoS do miss

I guess the key word is diversity. I didn’t use it in my original post. But, the word is diversity.

Have a mix of some shorter and longer dungeons. I am ok with longer dungeons. I ran stuff like Hall of Valor many a times.

But, not only diversity in dungeons. But, also in mobs. Included in that diversity of mobs (sprinkle in some tank in spank one’s). Also, include some space. Kiting shouldn’t only be possible, by 100% retreat. Feel so boxed in on this Beta dungeons.

Right now, it’s just straight, unadulterated pain, torture, and misery.

Guess I don’t have the same problem since the things you described aren’t bothering me. In fact, I feel like the dungeons aren’t that different from what they were in Legion. And I also feel like making a +10 timer is very lax if your dps is at least decent.

I do agree that they could add some breather packs every once in a while though, it sometimes feels like there are mechanics around every corner, and while this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it is exhausting.

The average timer of Legion dungeons was 34.8 minutes with MoS being below 30min and only MoS, CoS, Vault and DHT being <= 33min (4 out of 13).
The average timer of BfA Dungeons is 36.3 minutes which is exactly 1.5 minutes longer. 2 out of 9 dungeons are <= 33 min.

So while BfA dungeons take a little bit longer(1.5min), 33 was never the “absolute high end”. Instead, the differences between dungeons are smaller in BfA so you won’t be stuck with a 45min dungeon anymore.

Too bad for you, there is no short dungeon like mos to cheese, and we had hov like 45 min. They did not want diversity because all people wanted to do mos in legion if they do 1 or 2 dg weekly, or boost run or even giveaway key runs, nobody wanted hov.
Design is made to reduce diversity to give every key holder a chance.in example I have a hov +9 , but no body wants to join /bother with all mechanics, and i dont get invite because i am dps and there are lots of better rio /ilvled dps. So i am stuck for m+.new bfa dungeons are all like hov now. Not a certain favorite dungeon in bfa. Ofcourse people still choose ad and fh in bfa now. in legion there was time difference like 15-20 min with min-max dungeon times with same group quality. Now in bfa maybe 5-10min difference
