I would like to thank Bllizard for destroying my favorite activity in the game, which is mythic plus. I’ve always been happy to do it. The current version makes me not want to go with random players, which I often did. It only makes sense with friends.
Total thoughtlessness in the design.
15s penalty for death from level +7. There’s no point even starting with a typical random group. There’s no chance of making it in time. One mistake on a boss in the middle of the fight costs about 3-4 minutes ( i not MDI player but always do minimum to get portals to dungeon)
Blocking the development of gear by raising the drop of the best crests from level +9.
Unfinished and bugged affixes.
Overlapping boss mechanics and additional affixes.
A lot of players leaving the team as soon as you don’t have time, which makes it impossible to collect better gear.
Blocking the number of runed crests and the difficulty of obtaining gilded makes character development very difficult.
Botched hero talents and regular talent tree (e.g. Druid balance)
Idiotic Evoker augmentation class that destroys group composition.
For the first time since the introduction of pluses, with the end of raid progression, I will probably stop playing, despite an active account. Half-year subscription.
Those crest and Mythic track in GV from +10 are meant to be comparable to killing Mythic raid bosses. Yet they can be cleared by a competent team in 610. If anything, they could be raised.
That is by design. The problem is that it isn’t telegraphed enough.
Fine, Blizz can and should do somethings about this.
Yet this helps the more casuals. Without it, the Hardcore Johnnies would get max gear by week two, then you can pray that you get invited into any high key, within 6 hours of browsing LFG.

They are unable to fix it, but it won’t affect anyone doing lower than above 10.
Don’t think there are much problems , this season just instantly exposes bad dps and healers, they cannot be carried anymore. That is why keys seem very hard.
+6 is s…t because cant even find any upgrade. I have 618 ilvl on druid balance raitn>2200. Is very hard join to group +8 any dungeon. I can’t upgrade gear because dont have any chance to invite to +9. Try do 7 and 8 but 1 hour application for 1 invite. First time this from Legion expansion.
yea that is all great and stuff but considering 95% of dps and healers are not great at the game and tanks aint better either, it just means it will be a terrible experience all together.
if better players cannot carry one bozo than thr game will be unfortunately horrible if you pug.
and if you cannot pug well anymore, game will die slowly.
it happened several times before till blizz nerfed stuff into the ground.
lower the reward structure or just make +12 the caling nightmare start, not at +7

that was their only way to do something with hard content

I stop play mythic plus. this is waste of time and not funny. GOOD JOB BLIZZARD. first time from Legion i dont wanna play season. is not funny, bad scaliing, no chance for progress. affix work terrible.
It is absolutely bad decision from devs side and they make BIG mistake because it is TERRIBLE system now! What I am trying to say devs prevent players from to play the game for many reasons and I hope they realize they shouldnt have done this way!

The War Within is WONDERFUL since Legion, but system kills YOU!!!
(A) The difficulty of M+ is infinite. Who cares what the comparative difference is ! The pushers did it for “fun” with ZERO rewards anywais. Who cares if its in a +10 or a +2… its a change ment to only hurt casuals, and it dosent benefit pushers in any way. Dumb !
(B) The amount of “competent teams in 610” that can clear it is super small. It becomes hard to find people to do those keys if everyone quits M+.
(C) Who cares about mythic raiders ! Let them rot. They got their OP trinkets. They got Mythic Track DROPS from bosses (M+ dosent) PLUS vault … they got way to many advantages as it is ! No need to wreck the M+ scene just to keep a handfull of swetlords happy.
IMO blizzard should ditch all this nonesense. They should go back to how it was in S3 DF.
Backtrack the keylevel squish. Delete Heroic and M0 directly. Nobody cared to begin with ! I dont know why anyone listened to that minority of snowflakes that cant play with other people and get stressed to see some numbers tick in the top-left of the screen. PLUS we got delves now. No excuses this time !
Put the gear aquisition bellow +20 as it was in S3 of DF. And easy to aquire.
Remove the “+X% base damage and +Y% health” affixes. The one from 11+ to 12+. It makes it so an 11 today is a 21 in S3 DF, but a 12 today is a 30 from S3 DF. It goes against the spirit of progression in M+ to have such a massive jump.
Leave affixes as is. No need to remove them in higher keys. All we wanted is to remove “only negative” affixes and replace them with “kiss/curse”. That’s enough. But if they insist, removing affixes instead of replacing it with some BS +20% damage is better than what we got now.
And DONE. Everyone happy. Pushers happy, casuals happy.
The ONLY ones that are not happy by this are the raiders, which are a minority. But hey ! Its THEIR problem. They should change how raids work, instead of messing arround with other peoples game mode.
But I STRONGLY disagree with : Raid problems require M+ solutions. This is BS.
It dosent. Casuals have it even harder now to get into groups. Because the difference between them and the “compentent 610 ilvl teams” (as you call them) is greater than it has ever been.
I am not judging systems or people or whatever but let me say this.
I see point from both sides of barricade, I don’t feel myself being in either group of elitists or casuals, I found my mindset again so I am happy with the season therefore outside this argument.
But no amount of elitism, “mythic level” exclusivity, or “git good you gotta earn it” will EVER change the fact, that similarly to real life it is the casuals, the unheard unseen masses, that pay the bills and keep the lights turned on.
Anyone should consider this before he/she starts spewing clown takes towards people who are struggling with current system because it is objectively challenging season.
It is infinite, not sure how that is relevant. I think every player who doesn’t find M+ appealing cares. The pushers get Feat of Strength achievements, which are worth more than any gear ever would. I am a casual and I don’t feel hurt at all. People like to whine about things when they cannot be bothered to look at the bigger picture. The game isn’t designed around the pushers, but they will do just fine. They will do the +19 runs at the end of season, don’t worry about that.
It doesn’t matter what the average player base can do. The content is doable. If people quit because the gear progression has been slowed down a bit, then they weren’t playing for the content anyway.
No one cares for about the Mythic raiders, but the fact remains: the M+ scene is doing just as fine as ever before.
You can out gear M+ up to old +12 by flying around and getting crafted gear in 15 minutes. M+ under was irrelevant in the entire S2 to S4 of DF and now in TWW.

No evidence of this. I see people in 614 gear, going into 7+, who should be sticking to Heroic dungeons instead.
The only problem with this M+ season is that they locked Mythic gear behind even higher levels of keys while also increasing the difficulty of said keys, and then also requiring a tremendous amount of crests to even fully upgrade that gear.
They made gearing through M+ worse than it already was. It should’ve been on-par with raid and they did the opposite.
