Hey guys, Michael Vsauce here and today I come with tips and tricks for Mythic Plus for dps players.
First of all keep in mind that regardless of the following tips by default it’s always the healer’s fault if stated otherwise, now that it’s out of the way let’s proceed.
Tip 1 : If you die to a frontal it’s the tank’s fault for not making the mob aim in another direction, even if the mob aims in a random direction.
Tip 2 : If you die to an explosive orb that was next to you and somebody else was alive it’s their fault.
Tip 3 : If you die to a spell / dot that could’ve been interrupted it’s the not your fault, you’re a dps, short for damage per second, you’re not an ips as in interrupt per second, don’t be silly.
Tip 4 : If you die to aggro because you started to dps too early before the tank had time to pack the mobs then it’s clearly the tank’s fault, they should’ve been faster.
Tip 5 : If a key is depleted it’s not because you didn’t do enough dps, it’s because the tank didn’t pull bigger.
Tip 6 : If you die to a storming affix pushing you in a pit then it’s the tank’s fault for tanking too close to the edge.
Edit: Tip 7 thanks to Keyur : If you die standing in a swirlie it’s because the healer didn’t heal enough.

As a healer player i approve, i should have killed those explosive orbs faster and healed the team and moved with the lightning affix to nearest player and interrupt the enemy casts and have minimum 30k dps, “totally” with you on this. It’s the healer job to handle all the affixes not the other 4 players.
Indeed. I have also witnessed Newton’s law of inertia on some damage dealers, namely: The more one stands in fire, the more their inertial mass is increased, therefore requiring more typing in caps to have them move out of it.
Unfortunately the inertia grows exponentially and they just end up dead.
This guide has been super helpful. My gut feeling always told me things weren’t my fault and with the help of this tutorial I’ve been finally able to push to 824 rating. I have no battle.net friends left and half the server is ignoring me but not my problem, they should’ve played better. Thanks Romkar, you’re a true homie!
I know your post is sarcastic but there’s some points are are not even a joke because are actually tank faults.
It kinda is some times, I have had tanks doing 360s in HoV; it’s pretty annoying to be honest. Now I have to use evasion on CD just in case, some tanks are really good at not aiming frontals but some are really bad and ironically the ones that are bad at positioning mobs are the ones that talk the most.
Some times is the case, especially on Temple when DPS have all CDs and tank pulls only one pack.
It is DPS fault or tank if the mobs are not cc on frontals though.
if i didnt do a lot of dps it is because the priest didnt PI me.
if the group doesnt have a priest, it is the leaders fault to not invite one to PI me.
if the boss does mechanics that will kill the group if not everyone do it, it their problem for inviting classes without immunities.
Using CC reduces your dps, so dont put it on your bar. same goes for group helping utilities like bop or heals.
Never use funnel dmg to kill priority target if you can pad your dmg spamming aoe. that is even more important in bolstering weeks
