Mythic Plus

Mythic Plus, What a place, Huh?, So I have been having an issue for the past couple of weeks with Mythic Plus, so atm I am hard stuck at 611 Ilvl, the reason for that is because I need crests from Mythic dungeons, however, I’m trying to do mythic dungeons 4+ and higher however I keep getting declined and I fail to know why, I don’t know if its because of my item level or because of the class I play however its difficult to progress because my progression is locked behind other players and weather there willing to have me in there group., its frustrating because although I have my own keys its almost impossible to find a group if your not willing to wait for hours, some advise would be appreciated as I really do enjoy this game however its just difficult to progress

You get declined because you’re a weeb.

And because there’s 200 other DPS with higher ilvl and higher rating applying to the same key.

Heya Saitama,

Here are my suggestions. You RIO score is important. Ilvl means nothing at all and nobody cares. Unless you are super under-geared for the content. And there are plenty of peices you can still upgrade.

Shoulders, cape and rings. Get the M+ versions you can upgrade.

From what I see, you got 1642 Rio. Which is a bit “low”. Low in the sense that you have to compare your rio, to the rio everyone else has. At the moment, about 100 000 players have more rio than you. Just to give you an idea.

So to fix that issue, I see that you got CoE at +2. Try to get that one to +3 to up that rio. You also got Dawnbraker 4 in overtime. And GB5 in overtime. Capitalize on the fact that you already did those dungeons to try them again and time them.

Can you be more specific ? You post your key. And what are you waiting for exactly ? A tank, healer, DDs ?

Sometimes it’s also a problem of specialisation. Me as a BM with 619ilvl, 2/8M progression (yes - in M+ it also says something about a player that they can play at a certain level) and 1850io I am unable to get into groups for higher keys because BM sucks in AoE situations and does overall 30-40% less damage than the other specs, and Blizzard doesn’t give a $^@#^ and hasn’t done anything for weeks.

1850 score is low for that ilvl, so people will think you’re bad, and then again there’s 200 more DPS you are competing against so…

I get your frustation.

But playing a underdog spec wont help you at all. If you really insist on playing BM then you have to know your limitations when finding a group.

I know. I was the “underdog” healer for all DF. Sticking to your favorite spec has a price. And if you are un-prepared to pay it, then switch to MM.

How can I get more if on the higher keys nobody wants to take me because I do 30-40% less damage and this is not a result of my incompetence but of the disastrous actions of the developers? Maybe advise me to buy boosting…

This is advice on the level of ‘If you don’t like it, go to another shop’. Maybe the Beast Mastery community should do just that.

Maybe…uhh… switch to the spec that has an almost 10% representation (3rd most played excluding aug) for ranged dps in timed keys 10 to 11? You literally use the same gear, same role, and lose nothing in return for better viability?

Or play BM and wave the victim card.

Look what I wrote :

I have been sticking to RShaman since BFA. Meta. Non meta. Even during season when we were literaly just 500 shamans above a 20+ because nobody wanted us. You dont have to tell me this stuff.

But if you do 30% less than every other DPS, and EVERYONE in the comunity knows it… it has consequences. It dosent matter what Blizz does or dosent do. TODAY that is a fact.

So dont be all “whaaaa my spec is not good” whiner…

And seccond :

Nobody gives a rats bum about your progression in Mythic. Or Heroic for that matter. Raiding and M+ are totally different things. And you have already seen, the extra ilvl you get from all your raiding means nothing at all…

All that matters is RIO, and networking in M+. Nothing else.

You do have that rio. But also, your dungeons are all over the place. CoT+4 ? CoE and SV on 5 ? Get all those to a +6 before you come here like an entitled kid asking to get free invites to a 7+. And especially blaming others (blizzard, BM, ect…) for that.

And second : Get some of those Mythic raiders of yours to come with you to those 7s. Best way to get invites is to play with friends. Its the #1 advantage raiders have, they bellong to a tight community to begin with !

i have a plus 5 was a 6 NW however someone left and bricked the key and just anyone in general nobody seems to want to join but i will take that advise on board very helpful thanks

I like your attitude. I hope your journey progresses well ! Give us an update in a week or so. Lets see how it went !

Also just a side note on that briked key: Not all keys are to be timed. M+ is about volume more than anything else. So GL out there !

I would completely disagree with this. From my perspective, the visibility of Mythic progression shows that someone understands their character, knows how to play it, knows how to react to more complex mechanics - all of which also translates into the performance of such a person in dungeons.

Maybe mr adult I can’t get on these +6 to improve my io? x D You didn’t come across that hm?

Unfortunately, my guild mates mostly play the keys late in the evenings or at night when I can’t. Raid days are an exception that I have implemented into my schedule.

Leaving aside the Beast Mastery situation, Blizzard has ruined M+ by creating changes dedicated to some 6% playerbase. Squish of key levels (from 2-20 to 2-10) was the first idiotic decision. Moving the highest crests to +9 from +6 was another, and mythic track GV gear from +8 to +10 was yet another.
All these changes are dedicated to the 6-7% or so playerbase (at least until recently that’s how many people had io indicating progression of keys 20 and above, I haven’t followed the situation in S4 DF) so thirsty for ‘CHALLENGE’. And as much as I can understand the need to reward very good players, but not at the expense of most of the rest. Instead, they should reduce the amount of gear falling with M+ from a certain level onwards (2x? 3x? less), but let it drop on Mythic track. And that would be very fair, because from a certain level M+ becomes as much of a challenge as Mythic raid.

Hi, Saîtamâ.

  • As Uda rightly pointed out, your gear ilvl is secondary, the biggest thing people look at when deciding whether to invite or not is your m+ score. Before applying to any +5, for example, try to make sure you have all of +4 keys timed.

And here are some small tips:

  1. You have higher chances of getting noticed and getting invited into a fresh group with 1-2 people only. If you’re applying for a 4/5 group as a dps, chances are there are already 30+ people in queue and you will not even get noticed, let alone invited.

  2. I noticed that sometimes it’s easier to get invited during non peak hours, so if you have free time during late or early hours, give it a try, you may find it easier to get invited, because there won’t be 50+ people in a queue and you can actually get noticed.

Also, there is one but very efficient way to increase your acceptance rate into m+ by roughly 50-100 times, and that is by going a tank or a healer.

I understand that it is not for everybody and playing tank / healer is much more stressful, requires much more preparation and knowledge of both class and dungeon, since you’re playing a class that can be both a tank and a healer, I thought it might be worth sharing with you some facts:

  1. C or D tier (i.e. non meta at all) tank or healer will have much easier time getting invited into m+ than any S+++ tier dps.

  2. Yesterday I joined a +7 Dawnbreaker pug with my 500 m+ rating warrior tank. Not always, but very often groups are desperate for tanks and healers and will invite even those with low M+ rating or low gear.

  3. I played actively all 3 roles in Dragonflight

  • my average waiting time a a dps was 5-8 minutes
  • my average waiting time as a tank was 1 minute
  • my average waiting time as a healer was 5 seconds (usually it’s insta invite).

YOUR perspective is not the perspective of most people.

From MY perspective is that you dont care about wiping. Its OK for you. Because that is what mythic progression is all about.

And if you want MY 2nd perspective I usually dont invite Raiders, particularelly Mythic Raiders. And the more progress they have, the less likely I am to invite them.

They have all this “entitled” baggage with them that is just not productive for a key.

I dont beleive that. I did NOT come across that. Look at my profile in Raider IO. I have ALL but 1 dungeon on 9, before I attempt 10s. And I DO get invited to 10s.

And in your case, you have like… 400 more rio than everyone else if you apply for a CoT+5.

And yeah. It sucks a lot to try and get into specific keys like a Cot9 or NW9 in my case. But it’s what has to be done.

Not my problem. Make friends then. I got 400 in my firends list. 380 of which were people I met in PuG groups I liked playing with.

But let me TLDR what M+ is. If you treat is as a “side hustle” to Raiding, you will fall behind to people that dedicate their game time to M+. Dont forget that.

I agree with all this. But I find it funny that it comes from someone that raids Mythic.

First and foremost because most of these changes are ment to give Mythic Raiders an “exclusive” advantage when it comes to gear. Literally.

If they did what had to be done in M+ gear in Mythic Raids would become useless and pointless.

Just to mention.

Just do the raid.

6/8 normal and 4/8 heroic are both quick 1hr blasts each with proper group and can give good stuff in loot + vault slots

I would try some of the communities it will avoid you having to deal with any leavers

Mythic + is in this state because engagement metric showed that people are willing to play and PAY for longer if you made them fail much more. If you participate in this, you can expect that myth track gear will drop from +12 and up next patch. They will keep making the hamster wheel bigger as long as you run on it.

Either get off it or get ready to be taken for a ride by Blizzard and they seem to be in a mood for some rides.

I was gonna suggest communities but i see Puny already beat me to it

M+ is alot more fun when u can play with friendly people. So try some of them out, add ppl you enjoy playing with to your friendslist and expand your m+ experience with that.

Most of the ppl i play with are ppl i met through a community back in BFA. My guild was formed by members of that community aswell. I really recommend trying communitied and also make yourself visible by being nice, talking with ppl, try to help out with lower keys aswell now and then.

You broke your limiter m8, just one punch every dungeon on your own!
