Mythic raids should be made easier and more accessible to more people. That way, not only is there more engagement in mythic raids, but world first raiders can stop being pretentious and doing bizarre, convoluted, shady things and exploiting the game.
Also, RWF is watched by literally a few thousand people, nobody cares, genuinely.
RTWF is all about who can do the best Simcraft analysis and write the best WeakAuras and custom Lua functions to be able to handle the super convoluted mechanics as fast quickly as possible.
IMO Blizz needs to make the RTWF take place on a separate tournament realm with max heroic ilvl templated chars and zero addons to make it a proper esport game. Heroic raid split farming to prepare a roster is so degenerate and unhealthy. Addons are basically cheats that Blizz only allows because they are afraid of rolling that design decision back.
Idk the numbers, but with 304 and 254 pulls on one boss (not even the final one), I’m not surprised. That’s no content to keep consuming without becoming a zombie sooner or later. Guaranteed that a non-marginal part of those views is prob just other RWFs analyzing the opponents…
Early season mythic is too hard, but it gets nerfed over the season. I guess they hope that reduces the speed at which it’s cleared, but it kindda sucks.
I think end of season Mythic difficulty is generally appropriate, though there have been cases where it wasn’t.
I think finishing Mythic should be a top 2-4% of raiders kind of deal. Very, very hard to be sure, but not something that’s near impossible until after dozens of nerfs to every single boss.
