The following notice is posted around night elf refugee camps in Stormwind and can even be found in the remaining settlements and outposts in Kalimdor.
Ishnu-alah my friends.
It is with a heavy heart that I bear news of ill omens in these already troubling times. With the loss of our beloved home in an act of unbridled savagery, the blessings of Teldrassil that once offered protected to our people have started to wane. While tending to the needs of our people in diaspora in the city of Stormwind, I have come to see disease take hold and spread where previously the grace of Teldrassil protected us from such.
The ramifications of this are no doubt dire, and I implore you, my kin, to take extra caution when traveling to distant lands. Our people are vulnerable now and we must look after one another and offer aid to those who cannot aid themselves. Only by being united as a community will we overcome this time of peril that threatens us.
The rare herb Bathran’s Hair once might have offered us succor, but the cruelty of the Forsaken know no limits. Ever since their invasion, I have failed to find and cultivate a healthy one that has not been tainted by their corruption.
I implore you who has the spirit of kinship shine bright in you to explore venues through which to research and tame this looming ailment. Healers look after the sick. Fighters defend our weak. Together we shall weather this storm.
By Mother Moon’s grace,
Helwyr Hornmantle
Druid of the Antler
Hey fellas! Telaryn here. This is an open story hook for anyone willing to participate in it to add flavour to night elf RP. With the blessings of the Dragon Aspects on Teldrassil that offered night elves immunity from disease gone, I think it would be an interesting idea to explore the ramifications of it beyond just wanting to get vengeance with the Night Warrior.
From a lore stand point, we know that Jarod’s wife died suddenly from disease after the loss of Nordrassil and its accompanying blessings from the Aspects, giving reason to doubt the nature of night elves and their resistance to diseases.
Nobody is forced to participate in this idea, it’s just a good amount of optional flavour to add more spice to your story rather than dictate it. Not everyone is going to be playing the Night Warrior thing in their night elf RP, so consider this an alternative way to engage in aiding your people.
Let’s be excellent to each other
