[N-PvE]🌲 Tree of Hope recruiting

Hello everyone!

This is a short post to say that our lovely guild, [Tree of Hope], has opened its doors to recruiting new members! :tada:

:green_heart: We are a fun, chill and supportive guild with a focus on community and PvE.

:evergreen_tree: Tree of Hope members are friendly, funny and value camaraderie. We like to reach our ingame goals such as Keystone Hero/Legend and Ahead of the Curve (AotC), whilst also staying pretty casual and chill.

 To join our guild’s raids, you have to join our ’Raid Team’. This is voluntary and not all guild members choose to be part of it. It has a few extra rules and expectations, to ensure fairness and competency, and helps everyone know what is expected.
:spiral_calendar: We raid two times a week, Wednesday and Sunday, 20:30-22:30 realm time(CET).

 After the raid season is over, we run a Glory of the Raider achievement run on normal difficulty and the entire guild is invited to join - even non-Raid Team members.
Afterwards we run an optional weekly ‘afterparty’ raid, where we just kill a few bosses on normal to get to max renown with the season’s raid renown track. Quicker than LFR!

:white_check_mark: There are also many collectors and achievement hunters in the guild (myself included!), and people often focus on these, particularly between seasons.

:sunny: The Tree is a very diverse guild and is run by myself, my husband, and a few officers. We have an amazing Discord server that focuses on WoW, but also real life, and it keeps us together and in contact even during quiet periods in game.

:robot: The server houses channels that track news articles from Wowhead and Raider IO, links out to class guides, a M+ rating tracker for guildmates a Raider IO updates channel that reports on any guild M+ dungeons completed, and much more!

:trophy: Every season I post a guild Hall of Fame update which showcases everyone’s seasonal achievements - such as Feats of Strength for raiding and M+, completion of the Delves Season Journey, and anything else that is nice to note contemporaneous completion!

:sparkles: Every season we like to try recruit a few new people.

:evergreen_tree: :evergreen_tree: If you’re looking for a guild and like what you’ve read, then please contact me on Discord, my username is #Peacemoon. I can give you a link to our server and we can chat there about and see if we’re on the same wavelength! :grinning:

:open_book: Some background info about me and our guild (its a long read, sorry!):
I’ve been playing WoW since the very beginning (far too long!), and have been on the raid scene since Molten Core  :older_man:
Originally I played on Defias Brotherhood (when it was a RP-PvP realm), and found myself mostly playing as a Dwarf called Nina, leading Crimson Gauntlet mainly because of the community we founded and lack of cross-faction support!
CG was a zealous light focused guild not too far from becoming Scarlet red! Forsaken were naturally kill on sight, and this sometimes got us into trouble on the realm, particularly around neutral events like the Darkmoon Faire.
However, my real love had always been Taurens and Druidism, and my first character was a Tauren Druid. After the events of Icecrown in WotLK, it was the perfect time for CG to end its crusade and change my focus back to the lovely Peacemoon.

During Cataclysm, I created a Tauren RP guild called ‘Rite of the Earth Mother’ and with the help of my now husband, Chinrah, we tutored young Taurens and helped them pass their Rites. We hung up our raiding boots for something a bit more low-key and relaxed, as we were getting too old for 3 nights a week progression!
One of our biggest events was a funeral for our beloved High Chieftain Cairne in Thunder Bluff, where we invited many RP guilds from across the realm to join and mark the occasion.
The guild became a mostly friends and family guild going into Mists of Pandaria, and this continued until Shadowlands, changing names so we could include my brother Razaron, who had the misfortune to be born an Orc.

In the land of Ardenweald and the beginning of Shadowlands, we reformed the guild as Tree of Hope! :evergreen_tree:
The raiding scene had become more casual friendly with the introduction of flexible raiding sizes (always a nightmare to manage in early WoW), and we had grown to miss having an ingame community to play with and talk to. Of course, the pandemic and COVID might have impacted on this too.
Our new focus was to try recapture some of the excitement from raiding that we had back in early WoW, whilst also trying to marry it to a more casual style of play that was more respectful of adult life and commitments! Originally we started at just one raid night a week for two hours, but a second raid night felt doable, and so we began raiding four hours a week, which has felt like a good place to be.
The guild did have a setback with the mass exodus of WoW during SL season two, but gradually we all came started to return, and with Dragonflight we pretty much started again from very little and built up!

We ended up raiding every season in Dragonflight, earning every AotC (even season 4), and also ‘completed’ Pandaria Remix as a guild (we did the the Glory of the Raider achievement for each raid, and finished up by clearing Siege of Orgrimmar on Mythic).
In The War Within we have continued to grow and professionalise the guild, and have earned AotC for both Nerub-ar Palace and Liberation of Undermine. We even cleared Blackrock Depths on Heroic as a guild group, just for own own Hall of Fame of course!

The main focus of the Tree remains as a nice, friendly and safe place for players to enjoy WoW, and tackle raiding and M+ with supportive and likeminded players - long may it continue!

:books: Some info on the guild IC:
:camping: The guild IC is a neutral fellowship, led by Peacemoon, and they travel Azeroth on their adventures and performing heroic deeds. This was always the intention of the Tree of Hope, but does have the added benefit of giving lots of creative space for characters to be individual and yet still work together.
We don’t RP as a guild very often, but we are RP friendly and our members often have great stories and backstories for their characters, and like coming up with creative concepts and beautiful transmogs! I would characterize most of our members as RP-lite - lots of headcanon, but rarely roleplaying as their characters. We also don’t allow blatant OOC character names in the guild.

:evergreen_tree: :evergreen_tree:

Our guild motto:

Be like a tree.
Stay grounded.
Connect with your roots.
Turn over a new leaf.
Bend before you break.
Enjoy your unique natural beauty.
Keep growing.

All the best,
-Peace :evergreen_tree:

Hey!

Just wanted to share a bit about my time with the Tree, in case anyone’s looking for a new guild and wondering what we’re like.

I’ve been with the same guild for a while now and I’ve found a really kind, easygoing bunch. I almost joined by accident, but it’s the group I’ve stuck with for the last couple of years. We run all sorts of content together: keys, raids, casual stuff, but what I appreciate most is how supportive people are in practice. From sharing tips about classes they know well (and I’m just starting to learn), to highlighting useful WAs, or patiently walking through mechanics, I’ve found others that genuinely want to help out.

Because of the community, I’ve tried WoW content I never thought I would (like higher keys or heroic raiding) and it’s felt fun, even when we’re learning or wiping.

If that sounds like something you’d enjoy too, feel free to check us out or just say hi

I’m going to chip in and promote this awesome guild!

I’ve played WoW since Wotlk but mainly alone since my OG friends quit the game. Two years ago I found Tree of Hope and it changed the game for me. This community is so friendly and I’ve met many great friends here. Together we accomplish high end content like AotC while always staying chill and without any pressure.

No matter if you are a beginning player or old time raider, this is a great place to enjoy World of Warcraft. I can’t even imagine playing without the Tree anymore.

Thank you everyone in Tree of Hope for making it the guild it is!

I’ve been here for two and a half years and the Tree is my home now. I wasn’t sure I’d ever raid again after my guild of 10 years faded away, but I’m glad I took a chance with the Tree. These guys make raiding and M+ a great time, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that we’ve got an active guild chat, too. You should totally look at joining us if we sound like your kind of tribe.

As the roleplay slowed down and all those that I once knew left or took their long rest under the Durotar sun I found myself alone.

It took a lot to leave my old guild, in character I’m still apart of those Red Blades, if any would return one day. I had forgotten what it was like to be apart of a community as mine had taken the big sleep a few years back. I have to say I’m very happy I had the courage to walk down this new path.

Tree of Hope is a very friendly environment, RP is respected. We often have a laugh over the discord, no pressure, no arguments, all just fun in the name of trying to accomplish certain goals with friends.

Every season we’ve accomplish AoTC and it’s refreshing to have no drama, just an awesome and happy place to play World of Warcraft.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, then why now give it a go? I prefer something a bit stronger myself, an orcish ale perhaps?

But with that, I disappear off these forums once more. I hope everyone is well.

Thank you guys, that is some lovely posts
We always have our door open for recruits, but only like to have so many newcomers at a time. So occasionally there could be a wait before new members are allowed to join.

Hey! This recruitment post caught my eye as a returning player, or rather, as a completely new retail player that decided to put Classic on pause and explore TWW for the first time.

Do you still accept new recruits?

Druids get priority too! :bear:
