The Defiance - Bounty Hunters
Posted on every noticeboard within feasible reach of human hands is this simple message:
‘Seeking motivated individuals for employment within a bounty hunting and goods acquisition team. Operating primarily out of Booty Bay and other neutral ports, The Defiance seeks to earn its fortune by hunting down the most valuable, high-risk targets that we can find. Both competence and professionalism are required, and a total lack of scruples is preferred. If you are interested, then please contact Kayle Ravelle at the undersigned address at your earliest convenience.’
Who are we?
Bounty Hunters, plain and simple. With the cessation of the Fourth War, men and women from both sides of the conflict have steadily been exposed for crimes committed under the guise of military action. With the scent of opportunity fresh in the air, Kayle Ravelle has seen fit to put together a small, competent team to bring these wrongdoers to justice. And, more importantly, make a decent profit in the process.
While composed entirely of races from the Alliance, we operate with full neutrality. Showing no allegiance to either side regardless of the current state of things. This offers us near limitless flexibility when it comes to travel and areas of operation, frequently finding ourselves in neutral ports and towns across Azeroth.
With the deck of their own ship firmly beneath their bootheels, The Defiance and it’s operatives scour the world for the worst of the worst. Subduing them one way or another, before claiming the bounties for themselves. In other words; dead or alive, you’re coming with us.
What do we offer?
A more personalised RP experience that has serious undertones, but a light-hearted approach.
As bounty hunters, the smaller the group, the more efficiently we operate. This will be reflected in both recruitment and event size. We also aim to remain thoroughly outside of Stormwind as much as we are able, allowing us to travel the world and find more dynamic roleplay through interacting with other groups. Each member is instructed to carry a few Elixir of Tongues with them, on the proviso that said character can speak Orcish, to allow cross-faction roleplay whenever possible.
What are we looking for?
-
Affable individuals looking for a roleplay experience beyond staying in one place between events. A preference for travel and interacting with other guilds/individuals is essential.
-
People with a willingness to roleplay cross faction whenever they are required. This is not to say your character has to speak Orcish or interact in any meaningful way; however we will operate with the full intention of treating Horde and Alliance in the same regard, no matter the current lore situation.
-
Relationships with other guilds and role-players based around supply and demand. Be it doing work for you, or purchasing goods from you. We have no intention of being internally self-sufficient, and are very open to interacting with others.
OOC Rules:
- OOC toxicity and drama will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This applies both when dealing with those outside of the guild, and those within.
- ERP is unequivocally and categorically banned. We are not in the habit of breaking the ToS here.
- As with the above ToS comment; racism, sexism, and homophobia will not be tolerated OOC. It won’t go particularly well for you IC either, but it is what it is.
- Don’t break character in RP channels (/s, /y, /e). Quality and the experience of others is key, it’s best not to ruin it.
Any breaches of the above reported to, or witnessed by, members of the guild will be thoroughly investigated. Guild leadership will not hesitate to remove members without warning, especially with regard to ToS breaches.
