Meridian Edict April Round-Up

Okay so I slacked on this so enjoy two entire gigaposts summarising our roleplay and I’m definitely totally this time going to start doing summaries after each rp I swear (/me lies)

Week Two

Picking up from where Daerron left us off, on the 7th a small group of the Edict ventured to the weekly Horde social
where they came across a baby Gronnling named ‘Tiny’?

Then on the 8th, a Blood Knight came bearing “gifts” from the murderer the Edict had been tracking. These gifts were little more than thinly veiled taunts - some discovered to be thinner than others, as the group rushed to a certain Heroes home town of Thelsamar in hopes that they were not too late to save his parents from a burning inferno

The next day, the 9th, was a relatively peaceful shop night. The child of the resident Divinator came to visit, questioning why his mother had not been seen for the last week - to find a certain Courier claiming to have destroyed her? As the evening progressed, a selection of the Edict returned to the Arboretum. Not only getting astonishingly drunk and trashing the place
but having their boss walk in to find them all in such a state!

Some people are very secure in who they are, what they’re capable of, secure in their egoes, and do not need to rely on peoples opinions to confirm their value. Other people are named Rhaethas Ashsong. So, when he heard that there was an arm-wrestling competition in the bay on the 10th he was sure to invite his friends along.

However
all turned terrifying when the murderer they had been tracking appeared from the shadows
reassuring the Edict that they are not safe while he remains unstopped.

A few days later the Edict followed their monthly tradition on going to the Darkmoon Faire, where they quickly became distracted from the games with yet another “gift”. They took their injured friend to the first aid tent, where they made aquaintance with a mysterious Undead Doctor who was all too eager to lend her help.

later on they found Rhaethas stuck in a tree, but who cares.

Finding themselves enraptued in a war they never intended to begin, on the 13th the Edict’s pathfinders gathered to discuss the path forward in the Erantex situation. Though, how can they hope to forge a path forward when they face internal disputes?

Week Three

Dalaran Library, truly the Edict’s favourite place to be at this rate. I sure hope nothing ever happens to it. That’d be like, awful. Considering how often the Edict find themselves in there, I sure hope they can enjoy it well into the Fall. Or, even then, I hope they can enjoy it without random Kirin Tor sitting in their spot for a few months.

This isn’t me filling space because I forgot entirely what happened on that day. I know they bumped into the Doctor again. Stop asking me questions.

How many times do you think a single Courier could crash into the same tree? The answer may surprise you! Gathering in the Library, the Edict made a plan for how to tackle their bounty hunt. It was well and good they know he was the murderer, but now they had to figure out how to either find him or lure him out.

Having a personal Courier for the Edict has been a wonderful benefit, however that lasts up until she delivers landmines again. Leading to a risky landmine disposal manouever that cost a hand - and could have cost far more.

On the 19th the Edict found themselves enjoying their leisure time on the streets of Stormwind once more. Well, what was supposed to be a relaxed evening found the Edict with some interesting new friends. Including the Rat Guy
with his conquest to find the rat queen. As well as some new Worgen friends.

For some reason, it seems every time the Edict try to bake things in the kitchen there are diabolical after effects. With this incident of bread baking resulting in a Courier’s career at risk following her crash landing into the building. Not to fret, the local Divinator taught the Courier the wonderful ways of “grovelling”.

Week Four

"LOOK UPON THIS CITY. THE SIZE. THE INSIGNIFICANCE OF IT. IT IS STILL MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER BE.

IN A THOUSAND YEARS, THIS PITIFUL MOUND WILL STILL BE HERE.

Where will you be, Rhaethas Ashsong?"

What was meant to be a brief discussion of philosophy, found a Ren’dorei hung in the air hundreds of miles in the sky above Stormwind. Gripped hovering from death by only a Courier’s claws.

Over the last few days the Edict had found themselves socialising with a curious Scribe
only to find out on the 22nd that he may be far more important to their Erantex expedition than they could have ever imagined. With their newfound secret, the Edict must decide how to ensure the Scribe’s safety.

https://imgur.com/a/kuoLTkb

The next day was another ordinary night in the Solstice Bazaar, well as ordinary as it gets. The Rusted Dracthyr and Food Fox adventured off to unusual lands, leading to a Ren’dorei frantically searching for where the duo had ran off to once the shop had closed.

Though, they eventually found themselves in the sewers, as most evenings seem to do, where the Rusted Dracthyr’s germaphobia took a violent turn.

https://imgur.com/a/E8Vgt2R

In Booty Bay, the Undead Doctor made a reappearance. She went into detail about her unusual business practices - trading free health care for helpful services; notably assistance in her experimentation for cures against deadly diseases. Though
some can’t help but have a small inkling that the Doctor’s ethics may not be as pristine as she claims them to be.

https://i.imgur.com/N8Tca9w.jpeg

Returning to the Library, the Edict found themselves meeting the Doctor’s loyal companion; Mr Barker. A sickly worgen covered in an unusual contraption, claimed to be helping him of his dementia. More questions were raised about her ethics - what is she doing to keep him alive? Should he even be alive?

https://imgur.com/a/hapU2S5

On the 26th, the Edict went to watch the fateful fight between Danny the Mail Man and Carlos - though, when Carlos failed to arrive, the night attempted to turn to mere socialisation
until the Order of the Sacred Flame arrived to Stormglen in the search of a masked Void cultist. When the Edict’s resident Ren’dorei fit the bill almost perfectly, the Edict found itself desperately trying to plead his innocence.

The rest of the night was spent hunting spiders with their new friend Mr Barker. However, in the end of the evening, the Hero gives Mr Barker a quest
leading him to disappear into the night.

Returning to Erantex, the campsite found a surprise visitor of the rebellion. While catching up with the Pyromancer, a certain Ren’dorei’s attempts at minimising issues ends up making things incredibly worse. Doubt is cast upon the group, and in a time of war and betrayal
could that be their death sentence?

https://imgur.com/a/qwYAemu

In an attempt to help out, the Masked Human travelled to the Doctor’s Clinic to provide some supplies for her. There, he discovers the Doctor has blamed him for the recent disappearance of Mr Barker - and a hefty bill was presented to him as a result. After
creative negotiations involving pipe bombs, basements, and comatose hostages, the Masked Human managed to leave the Clinic with only a small debt
one that will only provide more and more issues as time goes on.

https://i.imgur.com/ElzcxyK.jpeg

The Erantex campaign seemed like it would benefit from more understanding of the Primals, and how the magic of the Druid’s of the Flame functions. So, on the 29th, a small study group was formed - though it quickly devolved into a discussion of eachothers pasts.

https://imgur.com/a/Lv22CMF

Finally, the month ended with a visit to Dalaran. The Edict met with Mr Barker once more
trying to solve the puzzle that is his memories and his past - especially with the belief that helping him could help absolve the Masked Man of his debt.

On that day, the Masked Man and Mr Barker made a pact. One that would ensure Mr Barker would never hurt any innocents.

That’s it for the April round-up! It’s 4am now so I’m going to bed. Let’s see if I have time to write the May round-up tomorrow!

Good afternoon everyone! The recap of other rp we had and have is coming soon - but meanwhile I’d like to mention that we resume recruiting all the races & backgrounds - while the characters and players match our community IC and OOC!

The Edict is more than just a roleplaying guild, but a tight knit ooc friend group, and an ic found family. We are after people who want to be part of that!

If you are interested in meeting us, now it is a good time! Look through our opening post & previous posts for more information about rp we do, and reach one of us if you’d like to talk details

The Edict has been very active these last few months, with near daily roleplay! Not only that, but daily OOC talks and discussion. As said by Daerron, the Edict is a tight-knit community both IC and OOC, which leads to the funnest roleplay of all! With tailor-made campaigns, and intricate character-driven subplots, there is always something to do within the Edict.

The Edict continues its adventures across Azeroth, including but not limited to:

  • Saving one of their comrades from being taken hostage - which has gone in a completely unexpected way for everyone involved;
  • One of their friends stuck in Dalaran when it has crushed and them considering ways to find him;
  • The Edict planning ways to annoy local Duskwood doctor and searching for the ways to save her patients
  • This is not to mention some other, way more sinister, powers, which may or may not be at play

Interested in joining the Edict in their adventures? Let one of us know any time and we can talk details! Looking forward to meeting you in the future!

The Edict will be roleplaying in Booty Bay tonight at 8pm RT, anyone who wants to try out some RP with us are welcome to come by!

Some of Meridian Edict members and their friends & acquaintances are currently at Kosh’harg. If anyone is interested in meeting us & trying out to rp with us, it would be a great time to do so!

Ksar’das has made his way through the plains of Nagrand - reaching ancient Oshu’gun, the Mountain of Spirits, collecting some of water from a river nearby - saying a prayer to spirits as he was doing it. Then he made his way to the mountain itself, through its crystalline halls - till he had reached a small room in the very middle of it, with a small pool in the middle of it.

The orc lowered over the pool, pouring the water into it, saying another prayer to the spirits as he placed some of the hair from his wolf hide into the pool. He knew that the time of the equinox had passed - that it wasn’t the right time to commune with the spirits. Yet, he hoped

Yet, nobody has answered

The room remained silent, no signs at the water in the pool either. Ksar’das sighed, shaking his head as he looked at the water. “Guess
 We might meet soon. If
 my soul is allowed to
”, the orc muttered as he turned away from the pool, going to the exit from the room.

Suddenly the wind blew into the room, making the water in the pool ripple. Ksar’das turned around, narrowing his eyes. “Who is there? Is
 that you? Lankhra?”

The crystals at the walls around flickered - a feminine voice has spoken, the voice Ksar’das did not recognise:

“The scarred one has raised the claw to turn the burning wheel”

The orc blinked: “
What do you mean? Who are you?”. The crystals flickered again as ripple at the water disappeared - as if nothing happened.

Ksar’das stared at the water and the room around for a while more - in a vain hope that the spirit - or whoever else was that, will return. Then he sighed again, putting on the wolf’s cowl at his head as he has left the room, uninterrupted this time.

Yesterday the Meridian Edict went on a reagent-gathering adventure in Felwood and learned that, perhaps, licking toads is not a great idea. Luckily, first aid was administered to the daring Dracthyr on the scene and she is expected to make a full recovery.
