There’s always bound to be questions arising with a campaign like this. So we’ve gathered the most commonly asked questions below for your convenience.
How long is this campaign going to be?
Easy! In comparison to most conventional campaigns, each act will only last a single week. Meant to follow the storyline and create hooks for your character or guild to continue exploration in a given zone.
When is it going to begin?
From the 21st of October to the 27th of October. It spans one single week. This is merely Act One. There will be a few weeks between each act to allow guilds and players to enjoy the zone before the next campaign (if they so want to join another one!)
How are the signups handled?
This is a relatively small campaign in comparison to most we’ve seen in the recent years. We’re looking at a maximum of 100 attendants to ensure everyone gets to follow the same storyline. This means a cohesive overarching story and plot that everyone gets to be involved in. As such, signups are handled by signing up either here in the post with your character, their faction(OOC) and their faction(IC) - Signups can also occur on the Campaigns of Azeroth Discord server.
Is it mandatory to join the Discord server?
Both yes and no. The server is utilized to ensure easy signups to events, however, let’s say you’re part of a guild. A single guild member can sign up a whole guild to one of the posted events. Furthermore, each event is revealed immediately, ensuring that signups can happen at your leisure.
What kind of systems do you use for your events?
We’re pleased to say that you’re not going to need to create a massive character sheet with strengths and weaknesses for each and every event. We mainly utilize free emoted events with a few dashes of rolls that we promise will be very easy to follow. We encourage a sense of creativity and tend to reward it during our stories. You may at times receive whispers from the DMs, and you are more than welcome to whisper these DMs in turn if you have something you’d really want to happen, since our goal is to create roleplay and personal character growth.
...Is there going to be loot?
You bet! You’re not going away from this campaign without plenty of opportunities to fill your characters physical and or mental coffers full of treasure! There are short stories set to be released, a few pieces of artworks/references and of course, plenty of moments to scavenge both resource and corpses alike.
Are there any character restrictions?
We aim to provide a campaign fit for everyone. Adventurers of all backgrounds are welcome, though those skilled in combat or magic may find their talents more useful than the flower vendor with a talent for baking. Researchers are as such more than welcome, even the less combat-aligned ones. While anyone can contribute, be prepared for a world where bravery and expertise lead the way. And you know… Maybe don’t join a combat event if you’re not on a character that could handle such.
When do signups open for the campaign?
Signups remain CLOSED until the 23rd of September, upon which they remain open until the slots are filled.
Can I host events?
We have a small but dedicated DM team on this one, which will focus on the main story. However, we have a few, sparse spots open for side events. You can contact us on Discord or of course, right here!
