N00b hunter - which pet for dungeons?

I spent my boost on a hunter, and so far I’ve leveled him to 115 by ordinary questing. It’s time to do the first dungeon with him.

I have 2 ferocity pets and 1 tenacity pet. I don’t want to screw up a dungeon by using the wrong pet type. So which pet class is optimal for a noob like me?

If your hunter is beast master then Spirit Beast is best option, unless you need Bloodlust, ferocity then. Spirit Beast provides Healing Over Time on target + it can remove enrage effects.

My hunter is BM. That means I can use any type of a pet - ferocity, tenacity and cunning?

I’ve checked wow-petopia already.

Spirit Beast has unique and tbh best skills to help you in fight, you can use your pet healing on tank to help your healer, or on anyone who needs, spell is decent. Look for spirit beast Raptor because you can catch him in orgrimmar and is easiest to get.

It doesnt matter what pet you use. Just pick one, tho Ferocity is nice if your group dont have BL.
Apart from that they are more or less the same.

Thank you!

use a spirit beast, and keep a ferocity pet with you if your party lacks a shaman or a mage for hero

I’d say the best pet overall for dungeons is a bat/nether ray. They have a dispell with bloodlust.

Spirit beast is the best for most PVE encounters. Failing that any ferocity pet (as Blcmex said bat or nether ray have BL + a dispel which is handy)

Gonna concur with spirit beast. The heal it gives you is just so useful. Outside of Dungeons a tanky pet like a tortoise works well or Devilsaur if you want the BL but I personally prefer having a tank over BL.
