Naguura's thinking on non-streamers players regarding bêta access

This is how low she thinks of people wanting to be part of the bêta but don’t because they are not big streamers. Poeple like that get the bête, and us peasants, can just watch and dream. Extremely condescending.

She is clueless, what a waste of a beta invite

LOL she was explaining to her stream how blizzard is doing beta giveaways
Streamers have thousands of people on their channel
so its logical that they give them beta even if they don’t play that game cause it’s free advertisement so that’s why she said you are not that valuable to blizzard
cause beta is not there to report bugs LOL
but to HYPE people up
WAKE up dudes stop being blind to everything around you
use your brain when someone is talkning about something and think about what that person is sayin
becuase what you just said is just complete nonsence

Sigh, how many more threads like this will open?

NO ONE IS ENTITLED TO BE IN THE BETA

A beta is to test the games tech and generate ad-value, not for player XYZ to play the game a 2 months early.

Streamers are invited because they generate ad-value.

Not directly related to the subject at hand but

Could people stop being Blizzard advocates for 2 seconds and think at themselves first?

You are not supposed to accept being a doormat simply because “that’s how capitalism work”.

It’s astounding that people prefer having more players (Which are more likely to be tourists since it would be players following their favourite streamer, who is very likely to drop the game) than a more functional game.

A beta is supposed to be a test of the game, not an advertising period. We are supposed to have veterans of the game test it to see if it works correctly, not random streamers who explicitely don’t give 2 cents about the game simply because they have followers.

And if you, as a player, think it’s normal that more players > a functional game because it benefits Blizzard more, then you’re putting Blizzard’s benefits before yours.

A Beta for a NEW Game is to test stuff,
A Beta for a 15 year OLD game, is just to build up hype, like the classic vanilla Beta was.

You all are aware that nowdays beta is for publicity? The fixes will be done when the game releases.

blizzard should probably sell beta access to wow streamers with less than < 10k viewers, as they are profiting way more than blizzard out of the increase in viewership

Isn’t all she does getting boosted in arena and raids for being a girl? Would probably be better to give access to streamers that are have decent viewers and know a bit about the game.

I’m not the biggest fan of twitch but I do roam the platform sometimes, only for wow and wc3 streamers, yet i’ve never heard of her, is she popular? Because she sounds like she has 10K viewers on a regular basis. Genuinely curious, maybe i’m just a boomer and she’s very famous.
If she’s not, it means only people already playing WoW watch her stream, so people who are super likely play TBC regardless, so is she really advertizing for Blizzard or for her own benefits?

If she is a big name on twitch who break the boundaries of “one game streamer” (Reckful before he passed away, sodapoppin are the one coming to mind) then her comment make logical sense. I’d still disagree with her as I think they should invite a mix of streamers for advertizing and hardcore players (maybe even p.server tbc players) to figure out all the little bugs and deliver a refined product.
If she’s the former she’s ridiculous, but that seem to be widely accepted, and maybe even cool on twitch so /shrug.

It’s perfectly normal for streamers to be invited, with their help Blizzard is boosting the TBC hype gaining more customers and bots, and we the mob can have a wide variety of streams to chose to watch.

Now the issue is that very few players were invited to WoW (if any), as Blizzard loves to say the game is about the community so…idk.
Here Blizzard are treating the TBC beta more like a completely new game focusing only on the hype.

You seem like veteran player, why do you want beta access anyway?

It makes the most sense for veterans to be part of the beta as they already know the game so they can evalute it the best.

Because she is actually a skilled player and shows beta footage to TONS of people.
Giving her a key generates a f*ckton more value than instead inviting some random person

While it’s certainly true, I still wanna punch that fake condescending smile off her face.

Actually she is 100% right. As long as you have no marketing value for Blizz you are worthless. Fans are paying slaves. They know they will get your money anyway.

Honestly i think the streamer is worth more if they don’t play the game, than if they do. Like if you’re known as a warcraft streamer, you’re probably not going to bring in as many new potential players, as a big streamer who’s never streamed before. Since they will bring in a lot of people who don’t normally play wow

She’s pretty good, you’re doing her wrong when you say she’s being boosted.
