@Symex thanks for the bragging, now perhaps you can find a way to grant us “poopy players” that exact same layer ID as you got?
Yep u definitely want singletarget talents/powers etc if ur lower geared. The trash can always be pulled slowly and with cc if its too hard but the boss is usually a brick wall
Once people are higher geared and the run is easier u can start optimizing for speed/aoe
Thank you i think i will have to try as arcane, most mages are doing this in arcane and don’t see the problem
Nice polite way to tell me i suck…
Why are most rogues saying “Do this as a rogue or warrior” like it’s hard? I finished it on my first time as a rogue and got WORST buffs. If you dont know how to play your class then get better and check guides.
Layer 3 is easier than first vision
Oh Its a hunter in the vid.
No point to keep on watching it.
This class is faceroll in pve pressing randomly buttons and keep top dps.
On top of that you get torgast rng lucky with powers.
Lets see you do it without the pet, then I will definitely be impressed.
I have replied with a video of my own in the thread as well.
It is possible to just destroy torghast. At least layer 3.
I did one run without powers too, and I DOUBT a monk without powers is stronger than classes with ANY powers. Just sounds too out there.
3% versa 3% haste and the one that grants absorb on phantasma collection.
Nah. Did not matter.
I did finish another run after that with no powers. But realized there’s no point, because people rather find excuses than look to themselves to become better.
At this point I’m almost certain this is just a big fat trolling conspiracy.
Try it as Fury or arms warrior. You will enjoy that fun experience being beaten up to death by simple auto shots
Can’t be bothered levelling a warrior 1-60 just to prove you wrong
EDIT: Not saying warrior can beat it WITHOUT powers. But certainly a warrior with almost ANY power is stronger than a monk WITHOUT.
Inbefore hunter pet nerf.
Well done though.
With a crit chance of something like 15%, but if you can couple it with combust (not sure about the interaction, cause fireball already breaks stealth so i would assume invis > fireball > combust > double fireblast would still give you the big fireball, with then 100% crit?)
You just made me think of a new strategy, thank you.
Classes are always unbalanced true, but there is a big difference in just how imbalanced and for what kind of content.
Looking at raiding, if you’re playing one of the worse specs, then you’ll do a little less dps and that’s about it.
In the case of torghast it’s that you have to play significantly better.
Imagine going into a raid having to map out every defensive for a fight with no real room for error (doing some layer 3 last bosses with 8 bad mage anima powers) and then you see the hunter in your raid not having to press a single defensive and can mess up 5-6 times without dying, that just feels bad.
But again, i am not too stressed about it, we will outscale it with raid gear quicker than it scales up, it was just quite peculiar that something so mandatory, had to leave such a bad impression at the start of an expansion knowing full well we have to do this for 2 more years.
Rogue’s main problem is their lack of sustain and the fact that they can’t kite, so they have to take melee hits without being able to regen.
I would certainly agree that it is by no means impossible on any class.
What I’m saying is that fury warrior can’t do some bosses that would just beat me up to death with auto shots. It’s fact. Should I record a video to show that I’m just being stomped by a boss auto attacking me to death?
If a boss autos you to death as a fury warrior, the issue is absolutely the player and not the class. It’s an RNG based minigame, stop crying and engage your brain when selecting powers.
If you use the anima consumption power on certain mobs in the tower, you get a floor specific buff (often negating the floor specific damage or mechanic)
Well, 1 char, same gear, 2 runs, 2 different given anima powers, 2 different outcome.
If I’m not given good anima power, then I’m still trying to overcome the boss. But yes, leaving and restarting and praying RNJesus is the way to go.
So I did twice Cromwell. First time, he just destroyed me, despite moving and interrupting. Second time, I got way better anima powers and vendor allowed me to pick a busted anima power : rage abilities cost no rage. I just destroyed him. It all comes down to RNG. F U N
Some torghast bosses are overtuned. Or at least they were last week. didn’t see them this week, so not sure if they’re gone or fixed.
But generally speaking, people who whine about its difficulty don’t deserve legendary gear. if you want to be a casual player, then you don’t need legendary pieces.
If you want to be semi hardcore and do more challenging stuff that requires legendary, then ACT LIKE IT.
Learn the damn run and do it properly.
As for “BUT RANDOM ABILITIES”…
Well guess what? You can buy upgrades in the maw that improve the ability quality you get in torghast for all your characters permanently. So the so called random thing will be a lot less random later on in the expansion.
That is something I have tried, actually. Sadly you have to wait until your fireball flies off and breaks stealth (which from what I have seen combustion doesn’t have an effect on once the cast finishes.) If you do get grey powers to speed up the cast of fireball fast enough then it may worth going with combustion>invis>fireball however.
It does feel bad, but that is again a problem with the toolkit of said classes. We had similar issues with Visions as well, as well as with certain mage tower challenges, though not to this extent.
Rogues have anima powers to reduce the cooldown of their crimson vial, which helps a lot with their sustain. They also have 100% melee damage immunity with Evasion, and on top of that they have CC to use to disengage. Do they have to work harder to down bosses? Definitely. Is it impossible for them? Not by a long shot.
It is true however that some runs will not work, but that will not be all that often if you collect powers, which is a choice people can make (and for some classes it is required more than for others.) As you said once we start getting gear it will get better, just like it always does with this type of instanced content.
No thanks. Because my warrior friends clear torghast I don’t need a video of someone who says it is impossible.
