I changed my name on this character. This caused me to lose my forum profile.
I can’t edit any of my old posts and threads. It’s as if these threads were made by a different character (my old name still shows in these threads).
My statistics were reset. I had 130+ days visited and 10k+ posts read.
I’d like to know If anyone has had this issue before? I’m very sad, I was hoping to one day be able to post GIFS…

Yep. Once you change your name you’re practically a new poster on the forums. I had something like 14k posts and all disappeared after I race changed.

Wtf? Why don’t they warn players about this? I wouldn’t have changed my name if I knew…
Yep, name change, server transfer, race change and so on resets all your forum grind

I remember the other day a poster who changed realms and lose post, Trust level, etc. Perhaps you could to open a ticket.

I also saw one that did this then reverted it.
OP you can actually try to ask Blizzard to revert the change (go back to old name) if it was done very recently.
Nah I don’t want my old name, or I would have kept it.
I will just add this to the list of things that make me resent Blizzard.
If it makes you feel any better I lost trust level 3 a total of three times from this

Indeed, in my opinion it’s worth trying to open a ticket if OP wants his post and days back.
I mean, when someone post something they post as: Name-Realm.
Perhaps they might be able to connect OP posts with his new name.

Yeah there really could have been a warning for this.
Also let me remove it all from view would be nice, I do not care for these things at all I am on too many forum over my life lol, I prefer people look at the context of my posts instead of profile.
I’m not willing to race/name/faction purchase for that tho 
Anyway sry for ya, hopefully it dealt in a way suiting.

Almost correct, a race change without a name change does not reset.
You can create a new character with the old name and use it to edit these threads. The forum really just goes by name-server

Sinaaki if you ever name change I will personally hunt you down and hold you hostage until you revert. I’ll bring cakes and bottled water so you don’t die of starvation or dehydration.
