You just delete a character w8 a month and then make on 2. account the same name character,restore the deleted character and you can name/rename your self as mutch as you wish.Free name change,ur welcome.

If you try to undelete the character after reusing their name on a different character it won’t let you because their name is already in use
It would make a lot of sense for a character name swap service around the price of 2 name changes, I guess the reason they haven’t done that is because with the current set up they can charge for 3

Not sure if already suggested. didnt bother read all posts.
You can do this delete char with name you want to “trade”, rename another char to suddenly freed desired name, restore original char and get free rename.

This doesn’t work for quite a while. If you delete character. Change another’s character name to removed character’s name then you won’t be able to restore that deleted character because character with that name already exists.

The only way is to buy 2 name changes and contact support as I showed in the older thread with exact same issue I linked where it’s confirmed by a blue post.

Short answer: Likely no, but maybe yes?

Long answer: I had a name I used for many characters. One time, I deleted a character and wanted it restored later down the line (yes, people do this). The character I wanted to undelete had the same name as one I had no desire to delete.

GM gave it an exclamation mark so that upon next log-in, I’d be prompted with a name change.

Once something similar happened and a GM told me “no. It’d be unfair to those paying for name changes.” basically telling me I had to pay for a character name change so I wouldn’t be prompted with “you already have a character with that name” upon undeleting.

TL;DR - Pray for good GM-RNG…
