If I bought a name change do you think Blizzard would let me swap the names of 2 characters?

I would doubt it as you wish to perform two name changes but only pay for one.

Don’t know what their stance is on this since most of the time I’d have to figure it out for myself if I ever wanted to swap character name’s around.

yeah but it would be 2 names already owned.
But I could see them saying no since if I wanted to do it it would cost me 3 name changes.

You can always try to delete your char and then get them back, but I have zero experience with that.

You could contact the support to ask them for help either way, before doing something, maybe they can offer you some reasonable solution? :slight_smile:

I think there is like a months wait for the name to be freed back up in case you revive the character.

I think that I have deleted my char to get the name. but it was low level, so it might also depend on how old the chars are?

I am guessing right now, the support is the only certainty, because you can get some misleading info in here (nothing personal against anybody, but there are mistakes etc.)

No, that would be 2 name changes, three if you did it this way:

Name character X to a temp name ____
Give character Y the name X had
Then name X to the name Y had.

same realm so if i tried to change a to b it would say b already exists try another name?
So a temp name would be required.

Try to contact the support, they have more options, maybe they can evade all this?

I think support would help if you would buy two name changes.

I tried this before when I wanted name swap.,

Delete the 1 character

Buy name change, use on 2 character

Restore the deleted character, game will tell you to change name.

Wiill probs just go to a new realm now though.
