Name change not working

Hey,

I purchased a character name change, but when I try to use it, I get a red error message:

  • This character is locked.
    There was a problem with your order.
    Please try again.

I’ve tried multiple times, but it still doesn’t work.

Before buying, I checked if the name was available:

  1. Saw the green checkmark without creating a character – didn’t work
  2. Created and deleted a character with that name – didn’t work
  3. Created a character with that name, logged in, and then deleted it – still didn’t work

No matter what I try, it just won’t work, even though the name should be available.
Also what does it mean the character is locked? is the Name locked?

Does anyone have an idea?

Are you trying to name change a Timerunner? Asking because I have similar issues with applying Race Change to Timerunners.

Apparently “working as intended” as per a blue post in the US Forums. If this is for the duration or for just this week or a few weeks is not explained.

This is correct and character services are intended to not be available on timerunners, for the duration of the event.
