Blue is friendly faction, and orange is enemy faction. thats all i know xD

If it’s in the chat window then it’s their class.
Dark Blue is Shaman.
Pink is Paladin.
Yellow is Rogue.
Red is Death Knight.
Can’t remember off the top of my head the rest. It also applies to their dot on the minimap when in a group.

I see yellow for neutral, red for enemy npc and class colors for players and green for pets. Ive been using threat plates during DF to customize these with nameplate addon. I think inside dungeons the players plates customizations stop working tho but they work in pvp and for npcs.
