Well, I was like that too, but then I’ve incorporated some smaller addons that actually look like stock UI and are not invasive.
Like the one that makes quest log window bigger. It’s the same design and it looks like it was made by blizzard.
I’m keeping it simple.
Only Questie and recount.
Always be suspicious of those who don’t use addons… they’re usually bad players.
“But addons make the game easier”
Well who’s at a clear advantage, the player with ClassicCastbars who can see the enemy casting a spell, or the stubborn player with no addons who can’t see the cast bar? you already know it.
“But… but the player sucks if he needs to use an addon to see the enemy casting!”
This is what makes you a bad player if you don’t understand the important of certain addons.
Shadowed unit frames.
I couldn’t get the Blizz raid frames to show my hots, if there were 3 buffs on someone. I asked about it, but no one answered, so I gave in and found this add-on instead.
AdiBags, Wide Quest Log.
None whatsoever!
But … Hide Minimap is already in game ???
I’m not just hiding it, but actually making it transparent. It allows to see mining nodes and other dots, but hides actual map. If I wouldn’t be a miner, I would just close it yeah, but I can’t imagine searching for ore veins without minimap.
Wait, what… it is possible to hide the Minimap?
On topic:
Peddler - autosell gray items / any you marked for selling
Aux - Auction House addon, just makes life a bit easier
RealMobhealth - is not really needed, but a habit to check on my rotation “on the fly”
Grid - Always loved this addon, in combo with:
Clique - very nice for healer (although after years in another MMO where you had no mouseover possibility, I guess it is not really needed).
Leatrix Maps - while it can show undiscovered areas, I only use it to show the instances, I can’t find my way otherwise, and it shows the level range.
MissingTradeSkill list - because why go to wowhead all the time?
whoaUnitframes - looks better
Bartender 4 -because I like to have my skillbar in the middle only
Press the red X in the upper right hand corner
I was always a UI and addon freak. Currently at 266 MB of addon files and 124 folders in addOns

I’d tried some add-ons for classic but all of it looked bad, so it’s better to play without it. This interface upgrades destroy all immersion.
Although I could be forced to install something for raids. But I’m not even sure if I participated in this activity because “nobody wants shadow priests in raids” as I heard.
