Nameplates for players are gone after patch unless I target them

Doesn’t work with or without addons, I can’t see friendly players nameplates outside of targetted players any more.

Tried removing the WTF folder as well as all addons, makes no difference.

So after searching a bit I found a fix to it:

Seems weird that this cvar has been screwed with in the patch.

Thanks for the post and the solution. This issue should be fixed soon, and is indeed caused by an issue with the cvar.

Enemy name plates only show when I target someone and attack them. Same with friendly name plates. You actually have to target them to see it…

It works fine in arena, also fine at the target dummies, but when in a BG, it doesn’t work, and also friendly NPCs out in world content…

Something’s broken.

Also in war mode. So if you’re in war mode look out as you won’t even see people properly
