I got some cool names i think people would want to buy.
I also might want to buy some names. Any cool ones out there?
Some people hold an interest in buying names, others in hoarding them. It is a business but some also frown upon it due to holding names that others with a valid reason could use themselves.
I do not hold any names I am willing to fend off, but I am always interested in snooping around the wares.
I have Chadhoof on a tauren char of mine and yes I was shocked it was even available on a server as ancient n populated as AD.

I am still looking for the name Alistair, however, it seems the character isn’t exactly in use, but the player is still subbed. Been after that name for a long, long time.

Alas. I know the torment of a rough name hunt, but I am not the holder of that name, else I would have offered it. I do wish you good luck in your hunt, though.

Seen worse tbh from actual rp chars aswell, as opposed to that being a char I dont even rp on tbf.
Edit: Rp’ers naming chars after famous germans from the 1940s ect, or just verbs/nouns.
people that use the names of war criminals are ignorant morons that deserve no attention. though I would argue that verb or noun names are still better than Beefyboi and his friends

100% agree, however I think Chadhoof has gotta be worth atleast 100g or a decent pair of decayed leather boots, I’ll settle for 10g.
Edit: You may be surprised who infact used such names, but alas, not a topic for today or hear I imagine.

Yeah I’ll buy some names. Purely to actually use them and give them out to others that would use them. I’d love to Robin Hood-ish steal names from Non-RPers and the absolute leeches that are “name sellers” in order to actually put them back into circulation and have them used by actual active accounts.
You can tell from this thread, and how no one was really interested in buying any, that it surely can’t be a good business to nab a decent name and keep it on lvl 1 until you find some guy who might buy it. If no one’s buying- why are you hoarding?
I will buy some names from you (and any others). I will use them and trade them out to people that want them.

There clearly is a market for buying names, the names just have to be really worth it. I get constant whispers asking if I’m willing to sell mine for insane amounts of gold. Answer is always the same - nope, it’s not up for sale.

I believe that the name I have gotten the most reaction from may be “Tristana”, or “Yuriv”.
Honestly a lovely name, so I can image. I think Alice is the one I’ve had a few offers on, though Gwenifer and Caite got some attention too.
