I’m sure it’s been said, it’s been asked and it’s rejected or ignored many times before. And now that Microsoft might get their hands on Blizz, the chances are getting even slimmer.
But I’d still like to ask for Vulkan and Native linux support for WoW and of course other games.
The problem with “native linux” support, is that there are a multitude of different distributions to consider, each with their own foibles.
And very small % of players use Linux to justify development. And they will need a lot of technical support.
Steam with their Steam Deck managed to work out a working format with Wine/Proton for existing Windows games and the same thing is available for WoW without the need for “native” version.
Depends on the packaging but you can require some minimal system ABI that most distros will meet. The game would be mostly self-contained with few external dependencies.
Even less use Windows on ARM to play WoW
