Or… Quel’Taurei
Bad example. I call High Elves Thalassians just the same and acknowledge them as such. It’s more like you tried to tell me that Wildhammer Dwarves are Bronzebeards and got mad at people saying “no, they’re actually different clans even if they’re all dwarves”.
Yes but you refuse to accept natural skinned as Velves even though someone like Alleria exists. And trust me Blizzard is going to update more natural skin void elf NPC’s in the future.
So there is no doubt about it, we are Void elves.
We can only pretend to be High elves on RP servers.
Some void elves are more corrupted some are not.
Alleria’s not a Void Elf even if some random line in a book said otherwise. She’s a High Elven Void user.
She is a Void elf. Many sources point to it.
Right now there is a change in ALL High elf female NPC’s where they have pink eyes. ALL of them.
Alleria eyes are still blue.
She turns Voidy during combat, like any Void elf would.
She is also the racial leader of the Void elves along with Umbric. Search it up.
She is the one that voices the intro to the Void elf race when you create a void elf and log in.
She is the one that gifts you your heritage armor and tells you how proud she is.
She is Literally the Void Queen.
“After absorbing the power of the dark naaru [L’ura] in the ruins of [Mac’Aree] on [Argus], Alleria became the first [void elf], and now leads others like her in the Alliance following the defeat of the Legion.”
Are you going to ignore my name tag too? Which clearly says “Void elf Hunter”?
If the Void Elves recruit new students, like the High and Blood Elven scholars within Telogrus seem to suggest, there is no real reason to suggest that their new trainees would become corrupted as the Void Elves were by that etheral, instead of keeping their usual attributes like Alleria.
And if we are talking about Void Elf trained High and Blood Elves, denying them membership in the Void Elf club would be rather strange, wouldn’t it? They would certainly be part of the same political faction. Although there is a clear physical difference between them and the idiots wo summoned the Nexus Guy.
I miss Grand Marshal Othmar Garithos (PBUH).
Which new customizations do you feel fit Highborne specifically?
Blonde and pale. Indeed, I feel that Night Elves are the better looking High Elf models!
Night elves got a hair color similar to the Automn leaves
It’s not exactly Blonde.
And “Blonde” is not the only color High elves have. If you scroll up and look at the pictures: Silvery white, brown, and black is also common.
…if I saw that iRL I’m quite sure that people would call that blonde. Sure, women may have more specific terms, but that’s still blonde.
Oh yeah thats right
Hmmm True true
Pale skin with yellow eyes + blond hair + more well-groomed eyebrows.
I’m pretty sure Highborne are known to have many of the Night elven hair colors. It was the Yellow eyes that made them Highborne (as it was seen as destined for greatness). For example Azshara has white hair
By that logic Blood Elves should get purple eyes as well then… Sin’dorei Shadow Priests and Warlocks are not exiled by Quel’thalas like the Void Elves because they are happy to use the Void as just another weapon and source of magic and they stay away from the Sunwell being loyal people, as they understand the Void is not something that must be studied to discover the “truths” and misteries of the universe or to fight Void with Void (also, there’s not much to be studied about the Void anyway … we know it’s an evil force of infinite hunger that tries to corrupt everything in its path and nobody can stay sane long with the whispers, not even Alleria or the Void Elves as confirmed by her)
Anyway, it’s the fault of a sizable part of the Blood Elf players as well if we got Void Elves with fair skin, I’m not going to deny that…trying to be the only ones with blue eyes was always a no-no, so if the Blood Elves had not asked for High Elf customization, it’s possible the Void Elves would have not happened, instead we have to share (almost) everything now and being the two races on different factions, that just creates animosity and jealousy between both groups of players and overall makes the Thalassian elven race less special than it was before, not to mention that the Void Elf lore is terrible and non-sensical for the most part as I said. But it is what it is, as I said everyone being a High Elf now makes High Elves not so special anymore. Although Blizzard should really introduce the Ogres into the Horde to make it complete as well.
Even if we meet him in Revendreth or in the Maw soon, he wouldn’t be Alliance anymore as Alliance literally now have Blood Elves (Void Elves are mostly Blood Elves so that ruins the High Elf fantasy already) who are corrupted by the Void so both factions just would kill him again and he would disappear forever in this way
Totally with you. I have been against new races for quite some time, but I would always have made an exception for races that canonically are already part of the faction. Ogres qualify. So do Forest trolls. For Alliance that was first and foremost High Elves, but broken Draenei, and on the margins possibly stuff like Furborgs might qualify as well. But things like WoW-protoss, pandas and werewolves obviously had priority.
