I like going into Naxx as it’s a chill environment with my guild :person_shrugging:

I need more loot from it.

So gonna keep doing until i get that.

Naxx is more enjoyable than whatever they’ve released on retail in recent years.

Fk mechnics or bosses that take hours to beat

And the fun part is that they buffed naxx (as far as i have been told:P) compared to how it was in OG wotlk.

Edit: Everyone knew before wotlk hit, that p1 would be boring though. Spend time lvling alts, getting profs, doing pvp.

After smashing my head against Sunwell and watching people kill KJ, quit and cripple their guild… I’m glad I’m getting easy 1 night a week clears to recover for ulduar.

Same thing for Ulduar and getting ToC after that, thanks God

Hard mode gear > ToC. You 'aint getting a break from Ulduar until alone in the dark

Weekly clears of naxx is boring. If you parse, go for speed runs, do achievements etc its not.

I’ve heard that, but tbh I don’t believe it. In OG Wotlk our guild were 80% or so Sunwell geared and Patchwerk’s hateful strike at times was insta killing our very well geared offtank. Other bosses definitely weren’t “easy”.

Now yes, but peoples will understand how Ulduar can be annoying because of trash mobs after 2 months.

Objectively, they have more HP now. We’ve got more complete class rebalances but as someone who had a DK at launch, i can say that tanking was a joke. Bone armor was wildly overpowered and no fight was dangerous to tanks in Naxx unless they had the wrong gear.

Yeah I remember being DK tank myself and it being silly, though we didn’t have DKs as tanks in Naxx at the time. Probably too lesser known/trusted for raids whereas they are well known of and played now.

As far as i can understand the gear difference between t3 to t4 (vanilla to tbc) was rather minor. So you saw t3 people clearing kara as soon as they hit 70.
But the gear-difference from sunwell to pre-bis even is bigger. Sunwell is basically leveling gear in wotlk (ofc you have some outliers)

I dont remember wotlk naxx days, as i was prob super casual. So i dont have a personal reference to compare with.

I feel like the tbc mechanics were harder than the wotlk ones. LV pre-nerf was also quite difficult.
There isnt one boss in naxx atm that is hard (not even post-buff)

Kara (tier 4) to Black temple (tier6), in terms of stats, is the same upgrade or LOWER than Black temple to Sunwell.

Sunwell gear was better than basically everything that wasn’t crafted or heroic. The lack of intelligence and stamina was the real issue in raids.

I extremely like naxx - it reminded why I fell in love with wow raiding back in wrath, and why I started avoiding it in new expansions. It’s such a chill environment, you feel good after clearing whole raid, even if you get 0 loot - you still get tons of valor points which you know will help you reach next desired upgrade. Oh and let’s not forget you don’t need to farm some time consuming system in order to raid. Simply farm heroics, buy gear for emblems, buy some crafted gear in AH, get enchants/gems and you are set to raid.
And the best part is - once you have your char rolling - doing all raids doesn’t take a lot of time, and you can have a viable alt.

I love how chill raiding in naxx is (and this comes from a retail player who has tons of curves, and even several cutting edges).

What do you suggest in case I bought everything with Valor (incl. both, Hateful for Holy and Retri) and I have all bis-pieces except extremely contested Turning Tide? It feels so frustrating waiting for Kelthuzad, knowing nothing awaits you until then. Then Turning Tide doesn’t drop, or the worse case (my case) it drops and I rolled last like 4 times in a row. And lastly, I can’t even go for good parses because I am rarely the only holy paladin, and when you have two (or more), none can perform to his full potential. How to motivate myself for Naxx?

I dont like Naxx either. But it is what it is.

I did not like Karazhan at all and never did (worst raid ever created, that i have played anyway) but it was what it was.

They did buff it, but we are also buffed so it evens out. It was this easy in retail when Naxx was current. And it was like that by design as almost nobody saw Naxx in Vanilla.

ToC was amazing after Ulduar because of all the trash in the damn place(Ulduar) and that you had none of it in ToC. People will cry week 2 about how much trash it is in that instance (Ulduar) and how it takes too long to clear it etc.

Loot was always rng, and to clear naxx25 3500-3600gs is more than enough, these min-max upgrades are optional. Yes, they are nice to get, they feel good and they are the only thing that is harder to get. But wrath raiding is not about super minmaxing. Naxx was made as an entry level raid for new people, it is on purpuse very accessable. And this is what makes this raid very enjoyable to raid. A lot of easy loot piniatas with 1 (max 2) mechanics.

If you don’t have motivation - simply don’t force yourself into it. Do it when you feel you want to do it. It’s only a chill game and we are not in some competition.
