İ’ve bonus rolled 2 times in windrunner spire +10 and i get 2 Emberwing Feather. (duplicate item whih blizzard specifically stated that there will be a bad luck protection and bonus rolled items will be removed from loot pull). İve opened a ticket as always but i got a Aİ response. The response didnt even mentioned my problem instead gave me a copy-paste answer. Hello,
If you are missing loot, try to log out, log back in, and then check your in-game mailbox, as the Postmaster system will send loot to your mailbox from the following activities:
Instances
World Bosses
One-time only treasure chests
However, the Postmaster will not send:
Quest items
Bind on Equip items
Items left on corpses in the outside world
Profession items lost due to having no free inventory space
Currencies

Did you use one (or both) of those rolls the first ± two days of the patch?
There was a known bug with it, the good luck protection didn’t work. They “fixed” it by refunding all the voidcores that got used, but they couldn’t retrospectively apply the good luck protection.
If that is the case, you kept the item you rolled, and you got that voidcore refunded. So even with the duplicate, you didn’t actually lose out on anything. Win win for you!

The GM may use a wrong template, and I acknowledge it doesn’t actually fit the OP’s problem but we don’t know how they petitioned it either.
That said, as Sucróse mentioned depending on when you received your items and when the fix occured the protection may not have been applied.
For my own experience, when I was going for Emberwing Feather it took me 3 voidcores over 2 weeks and I put the bonus rolled items in their own row in my bags to keep track so I didn’t get any duplicates so far after the fix.
Blizzard bugs getting annoying more and more everyday, adding to that their support and problem solving got worse each day as well. It’s ridiculous to have such bad state and support for game we are paying while almost all games are f2p and have better game state and services.
