How they still cant fix the glacial fragment legendry and blink bug. They keep doin hot fixes but these are still exist.
Are you using ‘Arcane Momentum’ ? I think the Ziggurat is moving laterally which bugs it out. This happens in other places as well as Necrotic wake. It has existed for a long time and has frequently killed my Mage.
Why they can’t just make blink go in the direction you of the key(s) you are pressing (WASD) rather than the current vector of your characters movement in relation to the world with ‘Arcane Momentum’ I don’t know however I suspect it might be because the WoW client only relays co-ordinates to the server and it checks the last 2 or so to determine a movement vector.
Basically I don’t think the server ever knows if you are pressing (WASD) only the coordinate history versus the world (which is buggered if you go into a magic flying Necropolis)
Is it fixable?, probably but not generically, they would need to implement new code for every new environment that involves a moving platform to handle it, which is more effort than it is probably worth.
They actually removed the Arcane Momentum glyph at one point but added it back to mage trainers after people complained which is fair enough, the ‘You can have it but sometimes its buggered’ approach is better than nothing.
(Edit: They should probaby should fix it, but knowing their track record, the relatively small number of players effected in a few environment and that there are muiltiple bugs that effect mages in every environment currently that still are not fixed, it is not going to happen, This bug has been around since WoD )
Noticed up there the other day whilst healing that some of the ground effects from the mobs aren’t visable. You get a debuff when stood in it but you can’t see it. The place is the bermuda triangle, mage bugs there are just a tip of the iceberg.
