I think there should be more options for pvp gameplay.
This is an idea i have had: For every talent row there is a new row for pvp that changes depending on which option you have chosen for the normal talents.
Lets say i got with mortal coil in normal talent row i get theese options for pvp:
Option 1: Mortal coil now removes all slow effects on you and give you a 4 second immunity.
Option 2: Mortal coil now lasts 5 seconds “up from 3 seconds”.
Option 3: Mortal coil now has 2 charges.
Or lets say you go with Demonic Circle instead:
Option 1: Using Demonic Circle now open up a rift for 3 seconds letting friendly players port to Circle.
Option 2: Removes all slow effect and give 50% increased movement speed for 6 seconds.
Option 3: Demonic Circle: teleport now have a 15sec cd, down from 30sec.
And so on.
I would also give 5 pvp templates with 0 passives, but instead give 5 abilities from all previous abilities that have been pruned over the years.
Enabling me to get example: shadowflame, fel flame, nether ward, drain mana, blood horror etc.
Ey, I like your idea for the talents. Being able to customize like that would be fun and useful, yet still simple enough to keep Blizz happy. They ofc didn’t like complex talents in the past and simplified things… but this is still simple, yet powerful. As long as I get to keep my extra PvP talents as well!
You won’t take away my only option to stack Clearcasting! and my Mass Invis! and my Temporal! Never!
But I like your idea. As an additional layer of customization of talents. If current PvP talents stay (at least important ones) outside of this customisation, then yeah - great idea!
Its a good idea.
I’ve said from the start that I’d prefer PvP talents to be a PvP oriented modification of a normal talent, instead of adding new abilities.
When the benefit is PvP only, PvE players wont feel obligated to opt into WM, which is better for everyone.
Hmm, maybe it would not be so simple for Blizz. Would they prefer to have cooldowns etc be clearly defined, rather than several variables per talent? Dunno, I suspect the extra abilties was just a simpler thing to do. But omg… my Thorns must not ever be removed!
