Hello AD, I am thinking about making a Wildhammer for rp and i am struggling for a name anyone got some suggestions?
The Wildhammer have a lot of Celtic themes going on. Why not look into Celtic Welsh/Gaelic/etc names? Might find something cool that’s free to use.
The common theme that many adopt is gaelic or fantasy-celtic names. Also Viking? Depends on the writer and the times. Twilight Highlands Wildhammer were given sort of Gaelic conventions, whereas in Aerie Peak we see some that toy around with norse ideas but also generic fantasy dwarf names (Ordinn, Drakk, Agnar, Fraggar).
Celtic/Viking seems to be the way to go! Not that I’d know anything about that…
Dwarves have always, to the surprise of some, been inspired by a lot of Semitic/Hebrew themes. This was mostly prevalent in Tolkien’s word, but seeing as Warcraft dwarves are heavily inspired by Tolkien, it has intentionally or not seeped into our universe’s interpretation of dwarves, especially in their language.
Compare the dwarf language Khuzdul: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khuzdul
… to the language our dwarves use:

It’s safe to say Warcraft dwarves display a mixture of Germanic, Semitic and Celtic influences; so you have a very wide array of names to choose from.

Sometimes when I struggle picking a name I just use this website: https://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/dwarf_wow_names.php
It helps a lot if you are unsure about the race you are playing!
Also I don’t think there are any difference between Bronzebeard and Wildhammer dwarf names!
