today i faced a destro warlock in ranked solo shuffle
Our main target was the rogue he was with
And i didn’t understood what really happened on my death
i warn that i didn’t touched Destruction warlock since start of shadowland
The part i don’t understand was :
how the warlock could have been able to cast 2 incinerate at the same time ?
What boost incinerate damage by almost double, is there a special cooldown to track on ?
i didn’t saw any aoe of havoc under my feet ( he was playing mass havoc honor talent) neither i got havoc the whole game, but can it be one of the reason for double incinerate ?
He also didn’t had infernal when i died
If a Destruction warlock can help me understand what happened and enlightening me what should i track on the warlock to predict this that would be great !
Destro lock has a talent where whenever you are being hit by a melee attack of any kind, you can get an instant incinerate proc. Guy probably got it while casting his first one, meaning he just presses againt for one more instant one.
Incinerate damage is boosted by casting Rain of Fire or Chaos bolt, for the next 2 Incinerates.
Aoe havoc is heavily nerfed, so anybody standing on it takes only 60% dmg that was sent to some other target. If you’re the kill target and you’re standing in Havoc, there is no damage difference for you, but you do take any aoe Mortal Coil.
Your death log is literally dying to Dimensional rifts (the gates the locks open that start shooting you for mini dmg very fast) and the incinerates, plus a few instants.
That’s interresting
and that can explain why, since i was with a demo, maybe the felguard bladestorm may have cleaved on him and giving that proc
wasn’t aware that destruction gained that talent in dragonflight !
Yep ! thank a lot ! No physical damage to warlock destruction then
